Paws Park Perth & Medical Detection Dogs🐾
Many of you know we’ve been working in partnership with Medical Detection Dogs UK, helping to create more life-changing partnerships here in Scotland and beyond.
From day one, we’ve been training two incredible dogs — Boots and Lumi — and we’re delighted to share an update.
A couple of weeks ago, both dogs sat their final assessment to determine whether they would progress to advanced training… and we’re proud to say they both passed with flying colours!
Boots has now moved on to advanced training with the MDD team and will hopefully be matched with a client in the near future.
Lumi has been an absolute superstar — and excelled on every front! Because of this, she will now go on to help produce the next generation of MDD dogs. She still has a few health tests to complete, but all being well, we may soon see some Lumi pups here in Scotland.
So, what does it take to achieve results like this?
It takes an incredible team — or more accurately, a family. That’s how close this journey brings people together. We always say dog training isn’t just a job for us… it’s a lifestyle.
From 8 weeks to 15 months, our amazing socialisers — Steve, Alison, Ailsa, Tracy, Beth, Craig, and Gran & Grandad — have gone above and beyond. They’ve put in countless hours, taken every part of advice on board, and committed fully to the process.
Also a massive shout out to Joule’s and the rest of the family for all the help on the Holiday cover.
Dog training is never linear — it’s a real rollercoaster. But what an outstanding job they’ve all done in raising calm, engaged, and well-rounded dogs.
If you’d like to get involved in this incredible journey, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
