🐾Does your dog have selective recall?

🐾Does your dog make its own decisions
on when to drop the poo out its mouth?

Do not repeat your commands… Your dog heard you the first time 🗣️🗣️

If you are constantly having to repeat yourself to your dog then you are being ignored. Why would they come back on the first recall when they know you’ll shout another 4 times…🤷🏼‍♀️

This is something so minor but will have a massive effect on the response and respect you receive from your dog.

When the dog doesn’t respond to the first command the natural human instinct is to repeat it thinking “maybe they didn’t hear me” WRONG! Your dog can hear you opening the treat bag from upstairs.

Correct this habit and watch your dog become sharper and more obedient 🐶👏🏻

Remember ❌ if you have a nervous dog, don’t fuss over the wind.

Dogs are pack animals so need a pack leader. The more you pander to your dog the more anxious it’ll become.

If you act like it’s nothing so will your four legged friend 🐾🐾

Do your breed research before getting a dog!!

It is so important to understand what your dog is bred to do.

Let’s talk Labrador….

“Big cuddly teddy bear” “Family friendly” “Goofy” “Easy to train”

Yes they are all these things but they are also a working breed. Bred to retrieve small fluffy animals. These dogs work under immense pressure and at speed when out shooting.

If you think 20 minutes on lead round the block is enough then think again!
If you cannot fulfil their needs then that’s when behaviour problems will occur.

Find games to play that lets your dog use its natural instincts.

In this case 👇🏻 I just laughed and said thank you. Thankfully I’m not squeamish 🐶🐰
