This is Lottie, who’s owned by Lesley.
You’d think she was wet with that coat like gloss, but she isn’t. She’s just so shiny with fabulous dapples! No fancy products, just a good grooming regime.
Doesn’t she looks fantastic?

This is Lucinda riding her horse Belle.
Lucinda is really happy with her lovely horse since moving to Croft End a couple of months ago.
She is impressed with the facilities, which allow her to train. She absolutely loves the stable and the quality of haylage is 100%.
She says all of this shows in the performance of the horse and it’s enabled her to move up a level in British Show Jumping and she jumped round the Newcomers at Kelsall Hill this weekend.

‘ End of an era ’

On Wed 23rd July, we lost our precious Smokey. The beautiful grey cat that made the barn her home.
15 years ago, she turned up not long after we lost our other 2 cats, just before we decided to go to Pennine Pen.
Chris walked into the barn and seen 2 bright yellow eyes peeping out under the stairs. She wouldn’t go near anybody. We fed her and left her to settle. It was about 12 months before she would let us near her for a stroke as everything was on Smokey’s terms at first.
She then decided to make Croft End her forever home.
Through the winter months, when we all thought about her being outside in the cold, she would not go inside to keep warm. Many igloos, beds and blankets later…we would still find her curled up in the rugs upstairs in the barn.
Smokey only had the best diet. She loved gourmet pouches, likits, dreamies etc.
She become the softest cat going with many mummies and daddies constantly looking after her giving lots of love and cuddles.
She even had a bed in the end which had heated pads in and furry blankets to create a 5* cat hotel.
She become a very old lady, who eventually was ready to join the rest of the Croft End legends.
There will never be another Smokey cat.
She will be missed!!
All our love
Smokey’s Huge big fan club x

Today was a big inspection day. The local authority and vets come to do a full check on all horses, paperwork, facilities etc.

We passed with flying colours and they were very impressed with everything.

Here’s Rupert, looking super smart with Kathleen.

Thanks to everybody who helped out today. The local authorities mentioned how well everything is run and particularly the routine of the licence inspection.

Wednesday 28th May was our unannounced BHS Inspection.

The report off the inspector, who was a FBHS, the highest qualification within the BHS system said the following:

“ A professional, educational and caring Centre. All of the horses, team members and clients were treated as individuals. ”

We are very pleased with the grading as we always try our hardest to keep everything as good as possible!!
