This Remembrance Sunday we commemorate all those who have served in military conflicts and remember the men, women and animals who lost their lives.

Alongside the traditional red poppy, the purple poppy has emerged as a symbol of remembrance for the millions of animals who served and sacrificed their lives. From horses carrying soldiers into battle to dogs detecting explosives, these animals played a crucial role in our history.

We also thank the PAT Teams who support members of the Armed Forces and their families💛

There's still time to buy a Purple Poppy, for sale in our branches in memory of the animals that serve alongside soldiers at war. All proceeds will be donated to the Royal British Legion and Pets As Therapy. 💜

Keeping your pets safe during the Halloween and Bonfire period:
Take your dog for a walk while it's still light to help avoid fireworks.
Try not to leave your pet at home for too long if you can help it.
Keep doors and windows closed and draw curtains to help muffle sounds. Play some light classical music 🎶 Rethink the costumes many pets do not enjoy dressing up . Check microchip is up to date and consider using calming aids such as pheromone diffusers or supplements during this time to reduce anxiety..

How’s this for an exciting update!

Earlier in the year we made the decision to bring our out-of-hours and emergency service back in house.

Now we can confirm that Drove 24/7 will be launching on 1st October... next week!

As a proudly independent practice, it’s important to us that you and your pets experience the same high level of trust, comfort and continuity – day or night.

Running our 24/7 service ourselves allows us to set a fair and transparent pricing structure while ensuring that you’re always met by a familiar and trusted member of our team when you need us most.

Things will run as usual this week, and from Wednesday we’ll post again to run you through how to contact our new service, as well as updating our website.

Spoiler alert – we’re going to make sure it's as easy as possible for you to access our team when you need us!

Thank you for your trust and patience as we launch this exciting new service.

See you soon.

Your Drove team.
