Hi everyone, sad post unfortunately today.

Today we had a deceased ginger cat handed in to us with very severe injuries. Due to this we aren't able to tell if this was a male or female nor if there were any distinctive markings.
Unfortunately, due to the injuries, we are also unable to tell if the cat had been microchipped.

If you are around the practice and are missing a ginger cat, please contact us.

Many people don't realise the animal poison line exists!
This is an incredibly valuable resource that everyone should know about!

Animal PoisonLine is run by the Veterinary Poisons Information Service (VPIS) and is the only 24-hour specialised emergency telephone service in the UK dedicated to helping pet owners who are worried their pet may have been exposed to something harmful or poisonous.

Based on the information you provide our vets and scientists will be able to tell you if you need to go to the vets for immediate treatment or whether we can save you the trip.

We have experience of thousands of toxic substances in all animals and cover everything from human drugs, household and garden products, plants, agricultural chemicals to venomous bites and stings.

We recommend saving our number into your phone so you do not have to search the internet when you need us!

Let’s talk all things Neutering!

Neutering rabbits is not just about babies, it’s also vital for them to be able to live a long and healthy life.

It’s important to your rabbits’ welfare that they live in pairs or groups, and neutering allows them to do this.

It prevents life-threatening health problems (especially in female rabbits) and, of course, prevents unwanted pregnancies. There are thousands of unwanted rabbits in rescue centres already; please don’t add to this by breeding from your pets.
