✨ Handsome Reggie ✨

Reggie visited for his first groom today, and he was an absolute pleasure to have in the salon. 💚🐾

A first groom is all about helping dogs feel relaxed and comfortable with the grooming process, and Reggie took everything in his stride. He was a star throughout and looked so smart with his fresh trim and bow tie. 🥰🎀

🌾 The Hidden Danger of Grass Seeds 🌾

I’m already starting to find grass seeds lodged in dogs’ paws here in the salon, so it seemed like the perfect time for a reminder. They might look harmless, but these tiny seeds can cause big problems if they’re not found quickly.

Their sharp, barbed shape means they can work their way into the skin and even travel through the body if left untreated.

⚠️ After every walk, make sure you check your dog, especially:
🐾 Between the toes
👂 Inside the ears
👃 Around the nose
👁️ Around the eyes
🩷 Under the armpits and groin

Keep an eye out for:
• Excessive licking or chewing at a paw
• Limping
• Head shaking
• Sneezing or nasal discharge
• Swelling, redness or a small lump
• Sudden signs of pain or discomfort

The sooner a grass seed is found, the better. If you suspect your dog has one, contact your vet promptly to prevent it causing more serious issues.

Last week we said goodbye to our lovely Jasper as he and his family moved to Belgium 💙

Jasper has been coming for grooming for many years, and more recently for hydrotherapy and physiotherapy after he became unwell and lost some muscle mass. We’re so proud of how well his rehab has gone—he’s made fantastic progress.

He’s been such a special boy to have with us, and he’ll be truly missed by the whole team.

Wishing Jasper and his mum and dad all the very best as they settle into their new home in Belgium—what an adventure awaits! 🐾✨
