🧡 Lola 🧡

This sweet sausage has been in recently to be spayed 🐕

She was under the care of vet Abi and nurse Fern for the day 🩺

Majority of our bitch spays are done by carrying out a ovariectomy, with the use of our LigaSure machine 👩🏼‍⚕️

LigaSure uses a combination of pressure and continuous bipolar energy to create vessel fusion 🩸

It seals the vessels, cuts tissue and dissects tissue planes 🩺

This is a great piece of a equipment for us, and will reduce our bitch spay operating time, along with reducing the size of the midline wound, hopefully making their recovery time that little bit faster 🌟

🤎 Oscar 🤎

This gorgeous Jack Russsel Terrier X Yorkshire Terrier has been in recently to be castrated ✂️

He was super sweet and enjoyed lots of attention 💚

Although he was also very wriggly so catching a still photo was a difficult task!

The Bee’s have been loving our lavender recently 🐝🪻

Missing since the afternoon of Saturday 16th from Birley village.

Microchipped and details up to date. Distinctive "squint" to his right eye from cat flu as a kitten.

Very out of sorts as he always comes home. Much loved and missed.

Please check sheds and garages if you are in the local area. Any information sightings please ring Medivet Leominster or Ludlow, or bring into either clinic to check for a microchip.

With the bank holiday weekend approaching we’d like to remind you there will always be care available 24/7 either between ourselves or Vets Now (a dedicated emergency service) 🩺

A member of our team will keep the phones in order to triage any calls coming in and help you decide whether your pet needs to be sent to Vets Now or whether they can wait to be seen by us the next day 👩🏼‍⚕️

Sometimes we are able to advise you on things needing basic first aid at home 🏡

We have some very exciting news 🥁🌟

Those of you that have already popped in this week would have noticed some changes in the reception area…

We are having another consulting room built 🤩

We are all thrilled to have an extra consult room, giving us a bit more space for when 2 vets, and a nurse are consulting at a time 👩🏼‍⚕️

Our fantastic builder Pete, along with Row’s husband David, are both working hard in the evenings to get it up and cause as minimal inconvenience as possible 👷🏼‍♂️

Watch this space, and we’ll keep you updated with its progress 👀

🌺 Winnie 🌺

This little sweetie came in last week for a dental procedure 🦷

Thankfully she only needed 3 of her teeth out, and then we cleaned the rest ✨

She brought her blanket and teddy from home to keep her comforted throughout the day 🥺

🐶🎉 Our second puppy party 🎉🐶

Happy puppies = happy owners 😀 we received lots of positive and lovely feedback after our party at the end of July 💚

Hosted by nurses Fern, Fiona and Kerry, each leading a different ‘station’ offering their expertise, advice and answering lots of questions 🩺

Each puppy had an individual health check in the consulting room, where topics discussed included; dental hygiene, neutering, and how to get your puppy used to being examined from nose to tail 🐕

Moving over to the scales, each puppy was individually weighed and given a body condition score. Here they discussed nutrition, feeding, alternatives to high calorific treats, and exercise. The puppies then moved through to the prep room, and kennels to have a good sniff around, and positive recognition of these rooms in the practice 🐾

Over the other side of the waiting room was the fun station (so the puppies showed us). Snuffle mats, treat puzzles, filled kongs, and play time, it all happened over here! Discussions over the importance of socialising, basic training and recall were all covered and it was great to hear owners sharing their own recommendations too 🐕‍🦺

Thank you so much to those of you who brought your puppies along this morning - it was great to see you all, and we hope your puppies enjoyed themselves as much as we did 🥰
