**Warning: graphic image**

We have had an increase in pyometra cases recently (4 in the last week!). Our patients were Molly 🐾 Poppy 🐾 Millie 🐾 and Edith 🐾
Thankfully they have all been surgically treated and are recovering well 🤍🐾

A pyometra is an infection of the uterus and if not treated quickly can make the bitch very poorly and be fatal.
Prevention is most certainly better than cure and therefore it is important to get your bitch neutered if not being bred from.

Please contact the surgery if you have any questions or would like to book your bitch in for neutering.

🐾🤍Quinn 🤍🐾

Quinn came into us last week as an emergency as he was unable to pass urine.
After examination and investigations it was discovered that he had bladder stones stuck in his urethra creating a blockage. A Urethrostomy was performed by our vet, Johno, which involved making an incision in the urethra to remove the stones. The wound was then left open to allow any other stones to pass through.

We were so happy to see Quinn back for his post operative check yesterday morning. He is doing incredibly well since his surgery and was surprisingly happy to see Johno again! 🤍
