On Wednesday night we had our dairy calf colostrum meeting and on Thursday night we had our flock club meeting on iceberg diseases, 2 successful meetings! Thanks to everyone who came along & got involved! 🐄🐑

Join us this Sunday 16th of August at Allanfauld Livestock for a Youth Development Programme Day starting at 3pm for anyone who would like to attend the games & workshops and then opening for a social stockjuding at 7pm in the evening. Our vet Jenna will there to give an interesting talk!

If you are interested in attending the workshops please let the Texel society know for estimated numbers on the day!

‼️OFFICE CLOSING EARLY TOMORROW ‼️

We will be attending Carnwath Show tomorrow with a stand, make sure to pop along and see us for some refreshment 🤩

The office will be closing at 11am tomorrow!

🐑Dung Sampling 🐮

As we come into the summer months, we will be receiving more dung samples into the practice for testing. Please see attached photo of best practice on how to collect dung samples.

We will have a form for you to fill in when you bring in dung samples, to get some history on the animals being tested including when they were last dosed and what with!

Remember sampling before dosing is the best protocol to make sure you are timing dosing correctly and using the correct product.

We will be attending Lesmahagow show this Saturday the 30th of May, make sure to come along to our stand for a chat & some refreshments!

Our Carstairs office will be closing at 11.30am to allow staff to get to the show 🎂☕️🥳

🐑Sheep Flock Club & Farmer Meeting on effective worm control 🐑

Our first flock club meeting will be held on Thursday 28th May followed by a meeting open to all clients on haemonchus & worm control!

If you are keen to be part of our flock club or would like any information on what’s all involved please get in touch!

If you would like to attend our meeting on Haemonchus please let us know by Thursday 21st of May!

This meeting will be free for flock club members, for non flock club members there will be a fee of £15 charged to your account!
