Meet Apollo, a 2-year-old Akita who was jumping up and nipping visitors coming into the home. For a dog of Apollo’s size, this can understandably be quite scary for visitors.

Pippa used a longevity ball alongside some door training to help Apollo learn what to do when people arrive. 🐾

It’s so important to direct your dog during heightened moments rather than wait for unwanted behaviour to happen and then correct them for it. Dogs can naturally be inclined to guard their home, so we’re teaching Apollo that he doesn’t need to take responsibility for visitors coming through the door. We’ve got it covered! 💚

🐾 Today, Megs had the pleasure of assessing this beautiful girl, Kaia, for her second assessment to become Morehall Primary School’s School Dog - and she passed with flying colours! 🐾

Kaia is the most gentle, calm and beautifully natured girl, and she absolutely shone during her assessment.

Congratulations, Morehall Primary, on welcoming this lovely girl into your school family. We have no doubt she’s going to bring so much comfort and happiness to everyone she meets! Morehall Primary

When you go out to work with a dog on a Friday and get this email on the Monday 👌

Little Poppie is a puppy farm rescue who was struggling on walks and barking at other dogs. To hear how well she’s doing already is just amazing!

We’re so proud of you, Poppie! Look at you go! 🐾

So proud of Axel the Cockapoo 🤎 With a full house and plenty going on, he was able to calmly settle amongst the busyness.

Teaching your dog to switch off and settle in busy environments is such an important life skill. Socialisation isn’t just about meeting people and dogs — it’s learning to feel comfortable around everyday distractions too. 🐾

If you’d like behavioural support to help your dog achieve this, please reach out. We would be delighted to help. 🤎
