☀️ With this week’s temperatures rising, there is a possibility of some dog school sessions being affected to help keep all of our dogs safe and comfortable 🐶💚

Please keep an eye on your emails over the next few days for any updates regarding walks, school sessions or schedule changes. We will always do our very best to make sure the dogs still get their exercise and have fun whilst prioritising their wellbeing.

As always, we’ll be closely monitoring the forecast and making decisions with your dog’s safety as our number one priority 🌿

☀️ This weekend’s forecast is hotting up, so here are some important reminders to help keep your dogs safe in the heat 🐶💚

🌿 Always provide fresh, cool water
🌿 Walk early morning or later in the evening
🌿 Check pavements before walks — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
🌿 Make sure your dog has access to shade and cool spaces
🌿 Never leave dogs in cars, even for a few minutes
🌿 Watch for signs of heatstroke such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy or vomiting

Our dogs rely on us to keep them safe and comfortable during warmer weather ☀️

📹🐾 Airing on BBC South News at 6.30pm next week, Pippa was interviewed to share her views on why dog bites towards people have reached a national high. She discussed possible reasons behind the rise and highlighted the importance of stricter breeder regulations alongside better education for dog owners to help tackle the issue.

Pippa was also filmed in front of her graduating Sevenoaks puppies, who were all exceptionally well behaved!

Meg had the pleasure of assessing this wonderful dog for her therapy dog qualification, and we’re delighted to say she passed with flying colours. She will now become a valued member of the EKC Sheppey Secondary team.

Meg had no doubt she would succeed — throughout the assessment she responded beautifully to all designated handlers, remaining calm, content, and confident at all times. Of course, Meg made sure to challenge her appropriately to ensure she was truly suited to the role, but she handled everything effortlessly and never put a paw wrong.

We can’t wait to hear how she settles into the school and the positive difference she is sure to make.
