Bolting!!! Bucking!!! Spooking!!!

7 yrs old ex racehorse (raced 9 x) developed a buck last year which was first thought was saddle too long on the back, as he wouldn't tolerate it slipping back even a millimetre. The odd buck over a year but mostly reliable and did a bit of everything. Then he started to buck into right cantering this got worse and worse so got vets in.
He has now had his back, neck, hocks and sacroiliac medicated and been treated for ulcers. At one point he couldn't leave the mounting block without exploding. That's all settled now and he's back in his original saddle that he likes and will walk away from the mounting block quietly.
The vet is happy with his back and he is so much better since having his neck medicated but if he loses balance and gets cross you can feel the buck coming. He has made progress in the school trotting but the rider has no confidence to canter him. So Michael Peace was called in to assess him on a home training session.

Rearing and napping can training fix this or is it pain?
Rearing & napping can easily escalate if not dealt with correctly. Napping often starts with a spook or fear which can easily escalate to rearing. With Michael Peace the horse starts to see the rider as someone they can refer to not try to eliminate.
