An anxious or reactive dog can quietly affect every part of your daily life.

You may find yourself avoiding certain walks, worrying about visitors coming to the house, overthinking everything, or feeling emotionally exhausted trying to help your dog cope.

Behaviour support should feel calm, supportive, practical, and judgement-free.

My approach focuses on understanding the emotions driving behaviour, while helping you feel more confident and supported moving forwards.

I currently have a small number of reduced-rate behaviour support spaces available as part of ongoing professional development case-study work.

Walks can feel frustrating, overwhelming… even a bit embarrassing sometimes.

Whether you’ve got a new puppy who pulls and zig-zags or an older dog who finds walks stressful, reactive, or hard to manage…
There’s usually a reason behind it.

It’s often excitement, stress, frustration, or simply not knowing what to do instead.

And the good news is this can change.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

👉 Send me a message with WALK and I’ll point you in the right direction.

This is a lovely example of a puppy learning in a calm, supportive environment.

It’s not about getting things perfect, it’s about building confidence, step by step, for both you and your puppy.

I’m currently exploring opening a small Friday morning puppy class here in Oxford, designed to be a quieter, more relaxed option.

If this is something that might suit you, feel free to message me ‘FRIDAY’ and I can send you more details.

Most people skip this step when training a cat 👀

This is where it all begins.

Introducing the clicker is the first step in teaching a cat how to learn through reward-based training.

At this stage, we’re simply helping them understand:
click = reward

No pressure, no expectations — just building that clear, positive association so they can start to feel confident and engaged.

From here, we can begin to shape behaviours like sit, target work, and even handling for vet visits.

If your dog reacts to other dogs on walks, this is something I hear from many owners.

Reactivity can feel stressful and unpredictable. Many people tell me they begin to dread walks, feel constantly on edge, or worry about what others think.

In most cases, reactivity is not about disobedience.
It is usually linked to how a dog is feeling — often stress, fear, frustration or overwhelm.

I’ve shared a calm overview in this post, and written a longer guide explaining:

• why dogs become reactive
• what stress can look like in everyday situations
• practical ways to support your dog
• small changes that often help most

If this feels familiar, you can read it in your own time.

Friday FAQ 🐾

“How do I stop my puppy biting?”

Biting is one of the biggest early frustrations for families — but it’s also completely normal.

The key isn’t stopping it with correction.
It’s guiding it.

✔ Appropriate outlets
✔ Enough sleep
✔ Structured play
✔ Teaching calm

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by puppy life, you’re not alone.

My puppy classes focus on raising confident, well-adjusted dogs — not just teaching “sit”.

“Sit.” “Stay.” “Leave it.”
These are useful skills — but they don’t fix fear, frustration, or panic.
If your dog is barking, lunging, hiding, or growling, it’s not disobedience.
It’s emotion.
And behaviour support helps you work with those emotions, not against them.
🐾 Not sure when it’s time to get professional help?
Read my latest blog: “When Should a Dog See a Behaviourist?” — it’s live now (link in bio).
📩 DM me if this sounds like your dog. You’re not alone — and I can help.
