Meet 14-year-old Jackson. As you can see he is currently completely out of office after an absolute blinder of a session at K9 Meadows.

Jackson might be a senior statesman these days: standing up takes a little bit more effort than it used to, and his selective hearing is now actually a bit of a hearing loss, but don't let the frosty snout fool you. The second his paws hit the grass at K9 Meadows, his inner puppy takes over and he still absolutely loves to run around the fields.

Sustainability and nature are at the absolute heart of what we do at K9 Meadows.
A little over a year ago, we undertook a mini-forestation project and planted 24 poplars. As you can see the British weather has done its job, and they are thriving! Planting these trees will help local wildlife, improve the soil drainage, and create a more engaging environment for your pups.

It’s a long-term investment, and we can't wait for the summers ahead when these beautiful poplars will provide even more shade for your pups to cool off under after a hard session of fetching!

Lost too soon, but never forgotten.

Seeing tags like this one for young Albie reminds us just how deeply these pups touch our lives. The Remembrance Walls in Snoopee and Scoopydoo are here for anyone in our K9 Meadows family who wants a dedicated, peaceful spot to celebrate the memory of a truly good boy or girl.

⚠️ Public Service Announcement ⚠️

The trusty red rope on the Scoopydoo gate has officially retired after a long and distinguished career.

Having shown signs of fraying, it has now been replaced by a younger, blue model, which will continue the important task of holding the gate open while you drive in and out of the car park.

We thank the red rope for its service and wish it all the best in retirement.

Behind the scenes at K9 Meadows, the team is always working to keep the fields in tip-top shape; but, sometimes, logistics tests our creativity!

We had several heavy sheets of plywood to move urgently. They wouldn't fit in the car or on top of the tractor. So we got our heavy-duty tow ropes and an extra-long dog training lead, and we rigged up a makeshift sled behind the car.

It wasn't exactly a smooth operation but, against all odds, the rig held! We successfully (and VERY slowly!) dragged the lot all the way from the front of Scoopydoo right down to the back of Snoopee! Who knew training leads were just as good for lumberjacking as they are for recall?

When we take our other pups to K9 Meadows, at the end of our slot we walk back to the car park and leave. When we take Juliette, we have to start a formal eviction process!

Normal pups take about five minutes to pack up and get into the car. Juliette, however, is ‘special’. She loves K9 Meadows so much that we have to build an extra five-minute ‘negotiation window’ into our schedule because she turns into an upside-down anchor. So we have to start our exit routine five minutes earlier than we do with our other pups.

We take it as a compliment that our fields are this hard to leave, even if it means we spend five minutes talking to a wagging tail attached to a motionless (but beautiful) belly!

The Christmas tree in Scoopydoo is looking very happy.

That fresh bright-green growth appearing on the tips is a brilliant sign that this conifer is healthy, thriving, and settling in beautifully at K9 Meadows.

We love seeing every part of the fields grow and develop over time, especially knowing both Christmas trees have become popular sniffing spots!

It’s lovely to see nature giving us a little sign that it’s happy here too!

We absolutely love seeing your pups run, play and make the most of Scoopydoo and Snoopee - it’s exactly what they’re here for.

So far we’ve been very lucky and haven’t had much digging at all, and we’d really like to keep it that way. When enthusiastic pups start digging, it can leave holes that are easy to miss when they are running at full speed… and that’s where little accidents can happen.

So thank you to all K9 Meadowers for helping us keep the fields safe and fun for everyone by discouraging any digging during visits so all pups can keep enjoying them safely!
