Finally, relaxed!

We’ve just had the most incredible clap of thunder which didn’t do a lot for me and even less for poor little Emmy who is sitting on my bed, shaking. . All I can do is reassure her and give her cuddles. I hate seeing animals frightened. Hopefully there won’t be any more!

One by one, the guests went home leaving just Emmy. She was quite happy about this. Suddenly her calm orderly stay was back on track. She spent the evening cuddled up alongside me and the night was spent both on and inside my bed. Today she will be joined by daycares but it’s just her & I again tonight. Philip managed to get this photo of her looking very regal while perched on his lap.

Yesterday proved to be quite a busy day and little Emmy wondered where all these new friends had come from. It wasn’t always harmonious as guests were jostling for places to sit with and on Auntie Val. Bedtime was reasonably peaceful with everyone having a good nights sleep except Auntie Val, hence this early post! With the exception of Emmy they all go home today, so tonight should be a little more restful. The photos are of yesterday’s guests.

My dog free nights came to an end last night with the arrival of Emmy. She’s a rescue crossbreed terrier. Her owner is currently in hospital and the kind people looking after her had a holiday booked where they couldn’t take her. I had met her before, so she’s having a holiday with me. She was a little uncertain but we both managed a decent nights sleep with ceiling and floor standing fans on. Today’s a busy day so we’re having a quiet five minutes before the onslaught. I managed to get this not very good photo. I’m sure there will be many more from Philip during her stay. He remarked that she looked like a bigger version of Cheese but without the attitude! Time will tell.

I’ve just emerged from my last dog free night for sometime. Normal service will be resumed as from today. X

It was a busy noisy day here yesterday, but very good natured. Millie who is still quite reserved, took a shine to Leo and he didn’t object! Maisie & Milo are good mates, albeit noisy ones while Geri observed from her place on the mini chaise. Just occasionally peace and quiet broke out. By 6pm they had all gone home and the house was empty and quiet. Another guest free night!

It was another guest free night! Today is quite a busy one! I am awaiting the arrival of Milo who will be really pleased when Maisie arrives a little later. Then lunchtime will see Leo & Geri arriving closely followed by Millie. All are here for daycare, so once again I will have a super kingsized bed to myself! I’ve chosen this photo taken some months ago, showing Leo & Geri patiently waiting for the staff to produce their food. All the guests know that behind this particular door is where the magic happens! Food and treats suddenly appear. It’s a room they all want to visit!

Last night I was completely guest free, so had a huge bed to myself! This morning I just have Milo, who’s not sure where all his mates are! He’s only here until lunchtime and then I am guest free again tonight! I could get used to this!

Ruby went home yesterday afternoon leaving just Rocky. He didn’t mind at all, spending the evening and most of the night cuddled up alongside me. He is going home very soon but in preparation he’s having a snooze on the chaise. Philip took this photo yesterday of Ruby and Rocky on the chaise with me, showing rather a lot of leg!
