One of the hardest things about understanding your own dog is that you're part of the relationship. When you're emotionally invested and living it every day, it's easy to miss the patterns that someone on the outside can see.

Your dog isn't met with fresh eyes, they're met with yesterday's walk, last week's reaction, that last missed recall, jumping up at your mum when she walked in the house, and all the moments that have shaped the way you see each other.

It can take stepping back to see what's really happening.

That's what we'll be doing over the August weekend. Slowing everything down enough to notice the things that are easy to miss when you're living them every day.
