If dogs have never really interacted much with other dogs, how do they know what to do? How to play? What's okay and what's not? ✅️❌️

Lolly’s Second Day ✌️

Yesterday was Lolly’s second day with me, and this time, her dad joined us 🐾

She came out with all the fire, ragging the lead, determined that the world should move only in her direction. Then came the squeals, loud and dramatic, as if the ask was too much. But we stayed steady. No drama, no harshness, just gentle pressure and consistency. ⚡️

And then it happened. Lolly stopped fighting, softened, and began to walk calmer and more connected than ever before. No pulling, no games, just a shift in energy that said, "I see you now." That moment of trust and respect felt incredible, like a door had opened for the first time. ❤️

She reminds me so much of Ezzy, same stubborn streak, same fire, same demand to be taken seriously. Luckily, Ezzy gave me the blueprint, and I get to pass those lessons forward with Lolly. 🍭

The kiss she planted on me before we finished was her seal of approval. That’s when I knew the foundation was laid.💋

This is about balance, connection, and holding space for a dog to work through challenges without us backing off the moment things feel uncomfortable. When we sit in that space together and regulate as a team, that’s when the real breakthroughs happen. 👭

Next up: deepening the connection on walks and introducing her to Banana. Because everyone needs a Narna for a best mate.🍌

Every dog and every human have their own rhythm. When I show up to train, it’s never about one-size-fits-all rules. It's about figuring out what relationship you want with your dog and then making that happen. ❤️

Some folks want the basics, some dive deep into the reps, and either way is completely fine. No judgment, just curiosity and a whole lot of love for that unique human-dog bond.🐾

Because at the end of the day, it's not just 'dog training', it’s about understanding and guiding a relationship that’s one-of-a-kind 😘

Ever dreamed a dog into existence? 🐾

Before Banana was even born, I dreamt about him. I dreamt that his mum and dad, two black labs that I took care of, had a litter, and there was this one yellow pup. In the dream, I kept him. I called him Banana. And then, against all logic (because honestly, who needs a puppy to let out 12 times a night, to toilet train, to teach all the things down to a T?) … it turned out I did.

Banana isn’t just my dog. He’s everyone’s best mate. Our reprobate Ezmerelda? Best mate. Stroppy Winston? Best mate. Every single new dog that’s walked through our gates? Best mate. Fifi the new girl? She took one look at him and did what can only be described as a swoon 💛.

That’s who he is. He’s got the manners, the patience, the perfectly timed zoomies. Today, when a huge mastiff came charging up off lead, Banana didn’t flinch. He just looked at me, calm as anything, keeping the pack steady while I dealt with the situation. Never before have I felt so much like we were truly a team ✨.

I cook his tea with as much care as I’d cook for myself, organic, grass-fed, all the goodness he needs to Banana his way through life 🥩🥦. In return, he gives me everything. Steadiness. Laughter. Loyalty. The kind of best-friendship money can’t buy.

Everyone needs a best friend like Banana.

This morning, I was stressing about getting everything just right, and then I remembered, nothing’s ever perfect, and it doesn’t have to be. ✨️

By the time I leashed up the pack, the wobble was already fading. You can’t be anywhere but present when you’ve got a crew like this.❤️

Myla climbed up for cuddles, The Labs and Spaniels waiting for me to launch the ball, and everyone tuned in. 🫶
