Today, we celebrated Archie turning 3 with a pool party 🐾💦

It wasn’t just about splashing around. It was about connection, community, and the joy of being in it together 🫶❤️

Dogs have this way of reminding us that life’s best moments are shared. Here’s to more birthdays, more play, and more love 💛🐾

✨️🐾 Thank you for the invite, guys! 🐾✨️

Watching the dogs out here in the water, there’s no thought of how they look, no second-guessing if they’re enough. They just are. Present, playful, grounded in their bodies and in the moment.

We could all take a lesson from that. To let go of the measuring sticks, the “shoulds” and “not enoughs,” and remember that standing in our own skin — muddy paws, tangled fur, messy hair, tired eyes — is more than enough.

Magnificence lives in presence. And dogs, as always, are here to remind us. 🐾✨

I’ve not been posting much lately, because honestly — balancing everything life asks of us can be a lot. School holidays, family, work, the rhythm of the month… it all adds up.

But then I remember: it’s all made up. Those timelines and targets we measure ourselves against? They’re imaginary. There is no finish line that decides whether we’re “enough.”

So here’s what I know — however we’re showing up is good enough. Some days that’s full of energy and consistency. Other days it’s simply getting out here, walking and breathing, and that counts.

Life is hard. Just being here is a job well done. The dogs remind me of that every single day. 💛

Did you know that living with a dog can literally add years to your life? 🧬🐾

Scientists have found that dog owners are around 24% less likely to die from heart disease.

Heart attack survivors who own dogs live longer than those without. ❤️‍🩹

Just 10 minutes of petting a dog can reduce cortisol (the stress hormone) and increase oxytocin — the “bonding hormone” that makes you feel safe and connected.

Regular dog walks? They don’t just keep your pup fit, they boost serotonin and dopamine in your own brain, the same “feel good” chemicals that antidepressants target. 🌿

Dogs don’t just improve our mental health — they anchor us. They get us outside, moving, breathing, laughing, connecting with nature, and with something bigger than ourselves. That’s why people who share their lives with dogs have lower blood pressure, stronger immune systems, and are more resilient against depression and anxiety.

So… if your dog is giving you all of that, how do you give it back?
By making sure their belly is full of nourishing, homecooked food 🍲, their days are filled with exercise and enrichment 🌳, and that they’re cared for like family even when you can’t be there 💛.

Love your dog a little extra today — they’re already giving you more than you’ll ever know. 🐾

Hugo’s chapter closed, but his story lives on. 🌈🐾

Our little puggy piggy 🐷🐶
who could squeal the house down 📣
and thought bum-licking was the height of sophistication.
He was funny, stubborn, ridiculous — and somehow managed to stitch himself into our family’s fabric in ways words can’t quite capture. ❤️

Grief has a way of reminding you that life is both brutal and beautiful 🌿 — one minute you’re laughing at a dog snorting like a pig 🤣, and the next you’re sitting in the silence of their absence 🖤.

If Hugo taught me anything, it’s this: kindness matters ✨.
Compassion matters 🤍.
Because behind every smile, every “I’m fine,” someone could be carrying the quiet weight of loss 🌧️.

So hug your dog today 🐕,
Check in on your mate 🤝,
& love the messy, ordinary, extraordinary family you’ve got 💫 because one day those squeals, snorts, and even the bum-licks become the memories you’d give anything to relive. 🌌🐾

Dogs feel grief, too 💔

After losing her brother, Myla leans into her pack because that’s what dogs do. Pack life gives them a social circle, a safety net, and the space to just be themselves. 🐾

No dog should have to navigate the world alone — every wag, every cuddle, every goofy bark is amplified when they’ve got their crew around them. 🐶💙

✨ My kind of “celebrities" ✨

In 2017, when I finally broke free from addiction after years of struggle, I realised the world wasn’t how I thought it was. All those years of watching E! News and eating Crunchies — believing the hype — were a lie.

The celebrities I thought I needed didn’t really exist.
Because the real heroes were right here, in my own community. All I had to do was make my dad a brew, step outside my front door, and I found them.

The people who’ve lost sons, daughters, mums, dads, partners… yet still manage to shine a little light into everyone else’s day.
The ones who’ve stood on the edge, convinced they had nothing left to live for, but somehow found a way to step back down and rebuild a life filled with purpose, laughter, and love.
The ones who walk through fire, who show up for their families, who crack jokes even after the worst news, who have long since stopped caring if they “come off okay” — because life is too short to live for anyone else’s approval.

These are my celebrities.
Not flawless. Not untouchable. But raw. Real. Brave. Kind.
And I feel so lucky to share a world with them. 🌍❤️

I have dogs. 🐾
Kitchen? Surrounded. 🔪
Toilet? Audience. 🚽
Driving? Nose on my shoulder. 🚗

Every moment is connection, chaos, and love — and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. 🐾✨️
