✨ My kind of “celebrities" ✨
In 2017, when I finally broke free from addiction after years of struggle, I realised the world wasn’t how I thought it was. All those years of watching E! News and eating Crunchies — believing the hype — were a lie.
The celebrities I thought I needed didn’t really exist.
Because the real heroes were right here, in my own community. All I had to do was make my dad a brew, step outside my front door, and I found them.
The people who’ve lost sons, daughters, mums, dads, partners… yet still manage to shine a little light into everyone else’s day.
The ones who’ve stood on the edge, convinced they had nothing left to live for, but somehow found a way to step back down and rebuild a life filled with purpose, laughter, and love.
The ones who walk through fire, who show up for their families, who crack jokes even after the worst news, who have long since stopped caring if they “come off okay” — because life is too short to live for anyone else’s approval.
These are my celebrities.
Not flawless. Not untouchable. But raw. Real. Brave. Kind.
And I feel so lucky to share a world with them. 🌍❤️
