Just a friendly reminder that Ireland is, in fact, an island. 🇮🇪😂

And if your pet is coming on the adventure, they’ll need the right paperwork too. 🐶✈️

The bit worth dancing about? 💃

Animal Health Certificates are only £90 at The Vet Station.

Holiday booked. Pet paperwork sorted. Now somebody tell Vanessa to stop dancing.

You might have spotted Dr Vanessa on GB News today 👀📺

She spoke about the serious eye condition being linked to certain dog foods and what pet owners need to be aware of.

If your dog eats one of the affected foods, don’t panic, but do check what you have at home and keep an eye out for any changes in their eyes or vision.

We’ll be sharing more information on what owners need to know.

Because sometimes being on the news is less “Mum, I’m famous” and more “please check your dog food.” 😅🐶

Hot weather doesn’t have to mean heatstroke.

The biggest thing we can do? Stop walking dogs when it’s too hot.

And if your dog is showing signs of overheating:

Get them wet with cool water
Get them somewhere cooler
Get veterinary help straight away

Your pet could have dental pain and still eat dinner like they’ve never been fed in their life.

Very dramatic. Very committed to the snack.

But bad breath, red gums, drooling, chewing on one side, dropping food, pawing at the mouth or suddenly being funny about their face can all be signs something is going on.

Dental disease is not just “dog breath” or “cat breath.”

It can be painful, uncomfortable and very easy to miss.

If your pet’s breath could clear a room, or you’re not sure what’s going on in there, book a dental check with us and we’ll take a look.

The biggest mistake many pet owners make is waiting until their pet is sick before visiting the vet.

The truth is, our pets are incredibly good at hiding pain. By the time they show obvious signs, a problem may already have progressed.

That's why preventative care is so important.

The Fire Plan helps you stay one step ahead with unlimited consultations, routine preventative care and exclusive member benefits for just £29 a month.

Because we'd much rather help prevent illness than treat it.
