Patient safety is our top priority from start to finish. Before every procedure, our team carefully prepares the operating theatre using strict sterile techniques, including surgical hand scrubbing, sterile gowns and gloves, and specially prepared surgical instruments to help minimise the risk of infection.

During anaesthesia, your pet is continuously monitored by our advanced multiparameter monitor, allowing us to keep a close eye on their heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, breathing, temperature and more. A dedicated member of our veterinary team is always there to monitor your pet throughout the procedure and into recovery.

Every step we take is designed to ensure your pet receives the highest standard of care, giving you peace of mind while they're in our hands. 💙🐾

Its me. Edna, back with one more important message!

Did you know BOAS surgery is designed to improve airflow by correcting some of the structures that make breathing difficult in flat-faced breeds.

💕 Meet little Toffee! 💕

This tiny kitten was brought to us after being found abandoned as a stray. She was in a very poor way, suffering from a heavy worm burden and fleas, and needed lots of TLC from our team.

Fast forward to now, and Toffee is feeling so much brighter! She's eating well, growing stronger every day, and showing us her sweet, playful personality. 🐱✨

Her story is a reminder of how important it is to seek veterinary care as soon as you find an unwell stray. We're so proud of Toffee's progress and can't wait to see her continue to thrive. 💙

Hi, it's Edna again! 🐾

Some signs of BOAS can be easy to miss because many owners assume they're just part of being a flat-faced dog.

Keep an eye out for:
🐶 Loud or noisy breathing
💤 Excessive snoring
🥵 Difficulty coping in warm weather
🏃 Getting tired quickly during walks
😮 Gagging or retching after exercise
💙 Struggling to recover after activity

If your dog shows any of these signs, it's worth having them assessed. Early treatment can make a huge difference to their comfort, breathing and overall wellbeing.
