What a week! ☀️🐾

We’ve just finished a wonderful 8 days dog sitting two fantastic black Labradors, Maximus and Rhum.

Maximus is an old friend who we’ve stayed with before, and it was great to welcome his new pal Rhum into the pack.

With the weather being absolutely stunning, we made the most of every day.

Alongside our own working Cockers, Fern and Barley, we’ve enjoyed some incredible adventures across Cumbria.

Highlights included a full circuit of Derwentwater – the beautiful “Queen of the Lakes” – a trip up Skiddaw, a day at the Carlisle livestock market and plenty of miles exploring the banks of the River Caldew.

There may have been a sneaky birthday glass of wine or 3 too 😃 🍷

The four dogs quickly became firm friends and have spent the week doing what dogs do best: running, swimming, exploring, playing and then collapsing in a heap at the end of each day! 🐕🐕🐕🐕

Weeks like this remind us why we love what we do. Watching dogs enjoy new experiences, build confidence and become part of our family while they’re with us is incredibly rewarding.

A big thank you to Maximus and Rhum’s family for trusting us with your boys.

We’ve loved having them and will miss their wagging tails around the house.

🚨 MISSING SLIPPERS ALERT 🚨

We have reason to believe two very suspicious spaniels are involved in the disappearance of a pair of fluffy slippers… 👀🐾

The suspects were last seen “looking after them” very carefully on the sofa and armchair. No remorse shown whatsoever 😂

Your dogs are treated like part of the family — cuddles on the furniture, playful antics, and plenty of home comforts (slippers) included! ❤️🐶

A lovely walk today with Barney and Susie and we didn’t meet a soul! Which gave us the perfect opportunity to practise Barney’s recall.

Home boarding isn’t just about looking after your dog — it’s about continuing and supporting the training and routines you’re already working so hard on at home. We aim to build strong, trusting relationships with every dog in our care.

We love calm, relaxed off-lead walks together (recall permitting). But that only happens when we work as a team with owners to provide consistency and support 🥰💙❤️ 🐶

Barney came along for a trial day and we instantly fell in love 🐾💙

At not quite 4 months old, he is the sweetest little boy, and he fit in so perfectly with us. We’re so excited for him to become a regular and can’t wait to have him stay with us for his holiday soon! 🐶✨

☀️ SUMMER HOLIDAYS – NOW FULLY BOOKED 🐾

We’re so grateful to say that we are now fully booked for the summer holidays! 💛

We do have a small number of trial days coming up over the next few weeks—if all go to plan, we’ll be completely at capacity.

We’re really looking forward to a summer filled with both long and short holiday stays, as well as our usual daycare days while families enjoy their trips and days out.

If you’re already pencilled in, don’t worry—your space is secured ✅

To our lovely regulars who haven’t been in touch yet, we’re so sorry, but it’s very unlikely we’ll be able to accommodate any further bookings at this stage.

We do operate a waiting list, so if any trial days don’t work out or we have cancellations, we’ll be in touch with those waiting.

Thank you all so much for your continued support—it honestly means the world to us. We can’t wait for a fun-filled, busy summer with all your gorgeous doggies! 🐶✨

All our walks were wrapped up early this morning before the heat kicked in ☀️🐾

Now it’s time for a slower afternoon—catching up on all the doggy admin while the pups relax. Three little sun worshippers soaking up the rays, and one smart shade seeker keeping cool 😎🌿
