A huge thank you to Salvator Dog Grooming for hosting such a fantastic scissor workshop last night! ✨

We had a brilliant evening meeting so many lovely groomers, answering questions, talking all things scissors, and sharing experiences from across the industry

🐾 Meet the Latest Addition to the Pooch Parlour Team – Jo-Jo! 🐾

We’re excited to introduce Jo-Jo, the newest member of the Pooch Parlour family! 💛

Jo-Jo will be joining us part-time and is due to start her iPET grooming course very soon as she begins her journey into professional dog grooming.

Alongside her work with us, Jo-Jo runs her own cosmetic aesthetics business and is already an experienced dog walker. With a genuine love for dogs and a passion for all things fluffy, she’s a fantastic addition to our growing team.

We can’t wait for you and your floof balls to meet her! 🐶✨

I’ve contacted all groomers directly about this Sundays seminar and as soon as I get the okay from you all, I’ll create a group WhatsApp. All groomers are welcome to attend for a social meet up from 1.00pm although Wow Grooming will be around from 12.30am.

Thanks to Wow Grooming for coming and hopefully Let’s Get Sharp will still be attending (they had a family emergency), I’ll confirm their attendance before Sunday 👍.

🐾 Meet Lily 🐾

We’d like to introduce Lily, who is currently studying for her City & Guilds Dog Grooming qualification at Brooksby College.

Lily has joined the Pooch Parlour team as a work experience student and will be with us for at least the next 12 months while she completes her course. We’re hoping she enjoys her time with us so much that she decides to stay on afterwards!

Over the coming months, Lily will be gaining valuable hands-on experience and helping out with bathing, drying, and preparing dogs for their grooms under my supervision.

Please join me in giving Lily a warm welcome as she begins her dog grooming journey with us! 🐶✂️

🫧🐶 Next up in our series introducing the self-employed groomers at Pooch Parlour is Jo! (Mum to two Sighthounds!) 🐶🛁

Jo is currently training in-house with us and will be working towards her IPET qualification in the future. She is an absolute ⭐ star bather ⭐ and is currently assisting me on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Just to clarify, while Jo takes fantastic care of your dogs during the bathing and prep stages, all styling and grooming of my clients is still carried out by me. 🥰

I’ve known Jo for around 20 years, and she’s a very close family friend, so it’s been lovely to have her join us on her grooming journey. ❤️

Today I am sharing information about the lovely Jaz.

Jaz is currently training to gain her IPET Dog Grooming Qualification. She will complete this towards the end of the summer.

She is gaining experience, knowledge and confidence, grooming her model dogs at Pooch Parlour until she completes her course.

I’m Jaz, the face behind Bear Essentials Dog Grooming. ✂️

The pups in the picture are my family dogs Bear, Dexter, and Walter. Some of you may recognise Bear from my logo — he’s actually the reason I wanted to start my dog grooming journey in the first place! 🐾

I’m currently training at the Bearded Pooch Training Academy, where I’m developing my skills and knowledge to provide the best care possible for your dogs.

I’m also excited to have the opportunity to groom dogs at Pooch Parlour, gaining valuable hands-on experience along the way.

I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me, meet lots of lovely people and their dogs, and continue growing Bear Essentials Dog Grooming. 🐾

We have several self employed dog groomers working at the Pooch Parlour alongside me. Over the next couple of days I’ll be introducing them again . Today it’s Jade.

Hello everyone 👋 I thought it was about time I introduced myself, I'm Jade the face behind Bubbles & Cuddles Dog Grooming 🫧🥰

The pups in the picture are my family dogs and my inspiration for becoming a groomer, Custard and Dottie 🐾 You may recognise Custard from my logo 🥰 Ever since we brought Custard home as a puppy 12 years ago, I loved bath time and looked for any excuse to give him a wash, much to his disgust 😂
I've now been grooming at Pets at Home for 6 years, starting out as an apprentice in 2019 and after a short delay thanks to the pandemic, I achieved my level 2 in animal care specialising in dog grooming. Over the years my techniques and skills improved, and more recently I also achieved my level 3 in dog grooming and salon management. ✂️

I have always loved the idea of running my own business, but I never would have taken the leap without the support from my friends and family, and all the lovely groomers I have worked with over the years, who have given me confidence and taught me so much. 💗

I can't wait to get started on this amazing new adventure, and I hope to see all of you, and your dogs very soon! 😊
