This is not a post to promote our business, it's to help you choose the right business and setting for your dog

Over the past few months, we've met so many new clients that have had such terrible experiences with previous care for their dog

It is so important that you do your research, ask lots of questions and visit where your dog is due to be staying prior to finalizing your booking

Here are a few things to consider

🐾 Licensing & Insurance - these are a must, it ensures that your dog is staying at somewhere safe and to a professional standard (ask to see this information prior to booking)
🐾 Experience - this ensures that the boarder cares for dogs they have experience and are comfortable with. They understand the behaviours and requirements of different breeds
🐾 Consent form - this forms part of the requirements for the License & Insurance, they allow the boarder to get a great understanding of your dog and there individual requirements to make sure that they will be suitable alongside others in the family / care
🐾 Home Visit - boarders / daycare providers should allow you to visit their home, to see where your dog will be staying
🐾 Trials - these should be offered and encouraged prior to any overnight stay to ensure that the dog settles in the new environment and feels 'at home

Our dogs have such a huge awareness of us and change, staying in someone else's home takes some adjustment for them, so it is important that it suits both them and you. Your dog deserves nothing less than the highest level of love and care whilst in a dog boarding / daycare environment 🐾

Oh Archie absolutely adores the youngest family members
He enjoyed a couple of days with us, where on every walk we forgot to take our phone, but on return him and Roma still enjoyed zoomies in the garden!

Crate training is going really well, we can now get the dynamic duo to have time out together 😂

Note - Little human isn't left unattended with her favourite friend 🐾

We get lots of questions regarding crates

1. Do you use them in the home?
No not for our dogs, however we do have one with an open door policy where they can go in as and when they wish

2. Do you allow crates?
Yes a lot of dogs love a crate - if they are used positively they offer dogs a great place of their own

3. Do you lock dogs in their crate?
Only as per the routine outlined by yourself on the consent form eg overnight / time out to sleep

4. Do dogs keep their collars on if there is a crate in the home?
We don't like to keep collars on in the house, we offer a safe and secure place with 2-3 doors before your dog could get into our front garden.
We always discuss with the human prior to removing a collar however believe that without these it's safer for playing etc

5. Do dogs travel in crates?
Yes our van is fully insured for business use and equipped with crates for safe travelling

It's important to note that we are a small home based daycare and home boarders, so we recommend trials to ensure your dog is happy in our company prior to any break / holiday.

Whilst any dog is in our care they are treated as part of our family, cared for as individuals and given plenty of love, fuss and adventures, with their humans being provided with regular updates and photos.

We are looking forward to a busy few months welcoming new and regular visitors for holidays, short breaks and daycare 💕

What a wonderful time we had with Sienna ❤️
This lovely little lady came for a visit before her holiday and was quite reserved, however she truly embraced her 'holiday' holiday with us, immediately settling, absolutely loving her adventures across the fields, being chased by our gang, playing with all our other visitors and making the armchair her place of comfort. This lady was a pleasure to look after and we loved her going everywhere with us 😍

It is incredibly important that when making a booking / enquiry with us you are honest regarding any behavioural quirks, likes / dislikes, preferences etc, particularly when it comes down to their behaviour / experience around humans (including little ones) and other dogs.

We board in our home, shared with adults, little human visitors, our dogs and regularly other dogs too, so it is important that your dog feels safe, settled and comfortable in our care without causing upset to others.

We board a maximum of 4 dogs at a time, however often cater for less to ensure the group of dogs are well suited together alongside ours (4 big dogs plus our pair is quite a squeeze in the van as an example when we like to take them out with us!)

We sadly do not have the room to keep dogs separate from other (only when feeding if required) so cannot cater for dogs that DO NOT get on with others.

We are incredibly careful when it comes to children and dogs, they are never left unattended and we are teaching the little ones how to be kind, gentle and respectful of their space (Roma was our home bred puppy so absolutely adores her human sister and only knows life with her in it)

We have separate space for the children if required as we acknowledge that some dogs aren't suited / familiar around them. We never force them to be together, however have noticed that all visitors gravitate towards being around them and that is so wonderful to see ❤️

So please for your dogs, our family and other visitors safety ensure that you are honest, as our home may not be suitable for your dogs needs and we must ensure that we can properly cater for your dog during our stay without the risk of injuries or concerns 🐾
