🚨 ATTENTION 🚨

There has been a serious rise in cases of parvovirus in the UK recently - for those of you who don’t know what this is, it is deadly for dogs.

If any of your dogs are showing any of the following symptoms, please DO NOT bring them to board and get them to the vets immediately.

severe bloody, foul-smelling diarrhea
vomiting
lethargy
weakness
loss of appetite
fever
abdominal pain

Any dogs who come to me who show any of these signs will not be accepted and will also put all boarding at risk of being paused as I will not put other dogs lives at risk.

🎄✨ Christmas & New Year Bookings ✨🎄

I’ve already had quite a few enquiries for the festive period, so I’m now officially opening my books for Christmas and New Year. Spaces will be very limited this year as it’s my little boy’s first Christmas, and I also want to make sure every one of my lovely boarders still gets the time, care and attention they deserve. 💕🐾

📅 Festive dates: 23rd December – 6th January

💰 Rates: During this period, stays will be charged at double the standard rate.

⏰ Please note: Stays are charged per calendar day, not per night.

This is “Dumpling” who i have taken in to foster - she was due to be put to sleep yesterday through absolutely no fault of her own, she was simply abandoned in a house.

I only picked her up this morning and she has already shown to be the sweetest, kindest, most loving dog you have ever met. Travels fantastically, super social, toilet trained and just a happy lump of squish.

She is safe with me at the moment, however she is in need of a forever home.

If you think you might be able to offer Dumpling a home, please contact me so I can put you in touch with the adoption agency.

An adoption fee will apply, this goes directly to the charity to help save more dogs in her position.

I will be assessing her and also doing some basic training to help set her up for a great start in her new life.

The only bad thing about this dog is that she just wants to be cuddled ❤️

Any dog that I foster who is adopted will also recieve 50% off boarding for the life of the dog.

Good evening all

Today I got sent a post about a beautiful dog who had been abandoned and her time was up in kennels - she was due to be destroyed today.

From the photos I’ve been sent, she looks to be an old English bulldog type with a sprinkle of Staffy.

Fortunately, here at The Ritz Canine, if I can help to save a dog, I will! Which means I am going to collect her tomorrow. I have already been told she is a favourite at the kennels by the kennel staff and it looks as though she’s been used to breed from and then simply dumped once the pups have been taken from her.

I am unfortunately not in a position to have another dog of my own, as I have my 2 boys and the rest of my time is focused on giving my wonderful boarders the best time possible when ever they stay here with me - so she is in as a foster. I will be assessing her over the next few weeks and making sure she gets plenty of love and attention, and she will then be looking for a forever sofa.

This girl is one of many who are at risk of loosing their lives purely down to people who simply don’t care. If anyone knows of someone looking for a new best friend, please do get in touch. She will not be the only foster I take in going forward, I have made a promise to myself that when ever I have the capacity to help save a dog, I will, so fingers crossed between all of us dog lovers, we can help to find her and any future dogs that come in for foster here at The Ritz Canine, their forever homes ❤️

Who doesn’t love a snow dog?! These 3 beautiful huskies, and their sidekick, Bobby the westie, have come for their holidays here at The Ritz Canine. I could watch this incredible breed for hours, they’re just beautiful! 😍

Luna is a beautiful young lurcher, full of love and cuddles. She is also visiting for the first time and has settled like an absolute dream!

She’s been a real pleasure to board and absolutely loves her time out in the field finding all the good sniffs 🩷

Chase is a beautiful lurcher who is here for the first time with me.

He was extremely nervous and shut down at first, tail between his legs and didn’t want me anywhere near him, which can be common in certain breeds when being left in a new place for the first time. However, with mutual respect of boundaries and space we are now on day 3 of 17 and he is coming out of his shell, relaxing and starting to enjoy himself 🥰 he’s even started coming over for some love and ear scratches

My own 2 personal dogs, Brian (left) and Ritz. Both dogs compete in protection sports, however Ritz is pretty much retired now, but we still make sure to do some bits of basic obedience when we’re out in the field

Parker is one of my regular boarders here at the Ritz Canine, he is in training to become a therapy dog and usually stays with me a few times a month.

Rusty is a beautiful, young, red and white collie who is on her first visit with me. High energy and extremely playful and affectionate.

Dogs from different households are never mixed as a rule, however, having known Parker a while and reading the lovely, playful and social energy from Rusty, i asked both owners permission for these 2 to have a supervised play. Both young, friendly dogs, it was great to see them letting off some steam together, respecting one another’s boundaries and enjoying the freedom to just “be dogs” in the private field ❤️

As you can see, they had an absolutely great time this morning before the temperatures got too high 🥰

Due to the extremely high temperatures for the next week or so . All boarding dogs will not be being walked during the day and outside time will be kept to just toileting.

I will be walking all dogs early morning between 4 and 6am and late evening around 10pm onwards

There is a paddling pool in the shade out the back also for the dogs

Crated dogs will all be moved to the front dog room as it is the coolest room in the house, with multiple fans on as well as cameras and my thermometer that is linked upto my phone for extra peace of mind.

This may seem extreme to some people, but I have been unfortunate enough to witness a friend loose a dog to heat stroke last year, so I take these temperatures very seriously and the welfare of any animal in my care will always be my absolute priority.

Hello everyone, I am now officially back off maternity leave and am working through messages and booking requests as we speak.

If you have messaged and not had a reply within 24 hours, please do feel free to re message - I am a little slower on replies now I have my little one here, but please feel free to give me a nudge if you’re waiting on a reply, I will not be offended.

Below are our prices - please note that the only time these prices are flexible are if you are booking in for an extended period of time or for more than 2 dogs from the same household, in which case I will always do my best to keep the costs as low as possible as I know going away when you have pets can be costly!

September I have limited availability
Booking for October has just opened and is already 40% full

Please, please give yourself plenty of time in advance to book to avoid dossapintment. I absolutely hate turning people away, however the dogs care is my absolute priority so I will never over book, as I need to ensure I have enough time to give each dog the care and attention they deserve, meaning once the dates are gone, I won’t be able to take anymore in.

Once I have got back to all booking requests I will open bookings up for the remainder of the year
