So we may not get too many hot hot 🥵 days here but it’s all about being sensible when we do ! A healthy balance and not an over reaction to the heat ! 22 degrees is a sensible cut off point but I also factor the humidity and breeze in to my decision it can feel hotter at 20 than 22 if it’s humid and cooler than 22 if there’s a good breeze . Breed , age , health , coat type and temperament also have to be considered.
We are very lucky to be beside the seaside and it’s great to get the dogs to the beach , even if they won’t go in they can cool down on the wet pebbles .
All with lots of water and shade when possible .
And LISTEN to the dogs ! They will let you know it’s too hot for them . They are sensible ! It’s humans that make them go out 🤯

Ruby’s Dog House was inspired by our beautiful rainbow girl Ruby.Ruby always went to stay with her doggy mummy when we went away and was more spoilt than at home.She never had to stay in kennels which made going away much easier.

My dream job was to open a doggy day care business at home and be surrounded by furry friends.

After being made redundant in 2019 I decided to make my dream come true and open Ruby’s Dog House.

Guests at R.D.H will be looked after just like they are at home with lots of T.L.C.
