I was very fortunate to have been given some of Max's ashes a couple of weeks after he passed away. They were in a little bag and I took them everywhere with me. He came on my walks and we visited all of his favourite spots. I held him so close to my heart and it was like he was back with me once again.
I deliberated as to what to do with Max's ashes after we'd finished exploring. Scatter them somewhere? Have something made with them? In the end, I decided just to keep them. I got this lovely wooden urn and they are now in a spot I can see every day, so he's always in my thoughts. I love you Max, you're missed so much. Pawsome just isn't the same without you 💔

The second of the birthday shoutouts this week goes to Merlot! Double digits! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 Happy 10th birthday to our first boarding dog, aka 'Big Brown Bear'. Its been almost 9 years since you first came to stay and you've been holidaying here ever since. I love every dog I look after and the longer they're in my life, the stronger my love for them.
Labs will always hold a place in my heart, there's just something so special about them. They're sensitive, loving, loyal, goofy, greedy and just so funny. I know one day in the future I'll have a lab love of my own.
Keep being you Merlot, we love you so much. Happy Birthday!

The first of this week's birthday shoutouts goes to Rex! Happy 8th Birthday, Rexy boy. You've been part of the pawsome family since January 2018 and what a journey it's been! You've earned the accolade of 'dick head of the day' on numerous occasions, but we wouldn't have you any other way! Luckily, you have mellowed in your senior years, but you'll always be a dick head, affectionately 🤣🤣🤣
We love you lots, Rex! We want to get to the teenage years, so no more chasing combine harvesters, please! 😅🤣
