❤️ A Little Update from Prim & Proper Dog Grooming by Melissa ❤️

To all of my lovely clients,

I just wanted to let you know that from Monday 10th August 2026, there will be a small increase to all grooming prices.

This really wasn’t an easy decision to make. I’ve always tried to keep my prices as affordable as possible, and I haven’t increased them in over a year. However, with the continual rise in the cost of electricity, shampoos and grooming products, equipment maintenance, and other day-to-day running costs, it’s become a necessary step to ensure I can continue providing the high standard of care your dogs deserve.

Many of you know I’ve been grooming for almost 10 years, and I put my heart into every dog that comes through my door. I’m incredibly proud to have built a business based on trust, patience, and quality grooming, and I truly appreciate every single one of you for choosing me.

Even with this increase, I will still be one of the more affordable dog grooming salons in the Darlington area, and I will always do my very best to offer excellent value without compromising on the quality of my service.

Thank you so much for your continued support, understanding, and loyalty. It genuinely means the world to me and allows me to keep doing the job I love every day. ❤️

People always ask ‘Melissa how do you get any work done with all these cute dogs?!’
My honest answer, I have no idea 😂 this is the BEST job in the world I couldn’t ask for anything better, honestly my dreams have all been made. Every morning I come into work so excited for the day because I get to spend it with beautiful dogs.
From puppies watching them grow to the golden oldies adjusting to their needs it’s all part of it and I’m so honoured you, my clients chose me to be a part of their lives and yours 🩷

☀️Weather update☀️

Just update on the weather I am cancelling afternoon appointments I apologise it’s last minute and your dogs are warm but animal welfare is far too important. I am in the middle of organising getting an aircon unit installed hopefully in the next few weeks hopefully meaning I shouldn’t need to cancel any further appointments if the heat continues throughout the summer. Thank you for understand.

- damp tea towel for them to lie on
- nothing over their backs, this is where heat escapes the body
- blinds/curtains closed in your home
