Hi Everyone
Please see attached from Grange Vets, I nearly fell for this one this morning.
My email was from Identichip and it actually gives you your pets microchip number and when you click on the link, input the number it literally brings up all of your dogs details, mine even had a photograph of her, it then asks you to pay a renewal of £18.99.
Luckily I rang Grange vets to query this and was advised it’s a scam.

PLEASE STAY SAFE ONLINE
Please be aware of an email scam that is currently being circulated stating that your pet’s microchip has expired and asking you to provide up to date personal and payment details.
Microchips themselves do not have an expiration date. They are designed to function for the lifetime of your pet.
This is a scam, microchips do not expire. Typically you only pay a fee at the time of registering your microchip or if you need to update something such as your contact details or any change of ownership.
However it is your responsibility to ensure the information associated with the chip is kept up to date with your chosen microchip data base provider.
