🎆🐾 Help your pets feel safe this Bonfire Night

Fireworks can be frightening for dogs, cats and small furries. A few simple preparations can help:

🐕 Walk dogs before dark and keep them on a lead.
🏡 Keep cats and dogs safely indoors before fireworks begin.
🪟 Close windows and curtains, and play gentle background music or the TV.
🛏️ Provide a quiet hiding place. Let your pet choose where they feel safest—don’t coax them out.
💚 Stay calm and offer comfort if they seek reassurance. Never punish fearful behaviour.
🐰 Give small pets extra bedding and hiding places, keep bonded companions together, and ensure any enclosure covers allow plenty of ventilation.

If your pet is struggling, contact your vet for advice and a plan tailored to them.

🐹✂️ A little grooming care can make a big difference! 💚

This lovely guinea pig had a coat tidy-up, with tangled and matted fur carefully removed. Take a look at just how much fur came away! 🥰

Long-haired guinea pigs can need a helping hand to keep their coats manageable, especially around their bottoms, where bedding and dirt can collect.
