Today, I had the worst day since starting this business. I was walking 3 dogs up the mountain, dogs who get on, dogs who have good recall, dogs who I love and who love me 💜 But the mini dachshunds, Sally & Sue, got spooked, and in their fight or flight response, they ran. They ran over the breast of the hill and they were gone. I knew they were scared, so within 5 mins I rang their owner and the search party commenced. Sally was found and was safe within the half hour, but Sue was gone for almost 5 hours. The worst 5 hours. But eventually we found her, and along with overwhelming relief comes overwhelming gratitude to everyone who came out to help look for her. People who walked miles and miles shouting until they were hoarse. I’m not going to tag everyone because there were so many, but you know who you are, and just know, I am forever grateful 💜
