✂️1. No-Show & Late Cancellation Policy
To keep our schedule running smoothly and fair for all clients:
* Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.
* Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled service.
* Clients who fail to attend (no-show) will be charged 100% of the appointment cost.
* Repeated no-shows will require a full prepayment for future bookings.
⏰️2. Late Arrival Policy
* Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to have their appointment rescheduled
* Late arrivals may result in a shortened groom (where appropriate), but the full grooming fee will still apply.
* If we are unable to accommodate the appointment due to lateness, this will be treated as a missed appointment.
🐕3. Matting Policy
We always prioritise the comfort and welfare of your dog:
* Severely matted coats can cause pain, skin irritation, and hidden injuries.
* Where necessary, we will clip the coat short rather than demat to avoid distress.
* A dematting fee will be added depending on severity, starting from £5 to £15.
* Heavily matted dogs may incur an additional handling fee due to extra time and care required.
* By booking with us, you give permission for the humane removal of matting, which may significantly alter your dog’s appearance.
🐜4. Fleas, Ticks & Parasites Policy
For the safety and hygiene of all pets:
* If parasites (fleas, ticks, etc.) are found, we will inform you immediately.
* A parasite shampoo and sanitation fee of £15 will be applied.
* In severe infestations, grooming may be stopped and rescheduled to protects other pets in the salon.
* Dogs must be up to date with flea and parasite prevention prior to appointments.
⚠️5. Aggressive or Difficult Behaviour Policy
The safety of your dog and our staff is extremely important:
* Dogs displaying aggressive, anxious, or difficult behaviour may require extra handling.
* An additional handling fee may be applied based on time and risk involved.
* If a dog becomes unsafe to groom, we reserve the right to stop the groom immediately.
* In some cases, we may recommend grooming under veterinary supervision or sedation.
* Owners must inform us in advance of any behavioural concerns.
📆6. Scheduled Grooming Appointments
Regular grooming is essential for your dog’s health and comfort:
* We recommend booking on a regular schedule (e.g. every 4–8 weeks) to maintain coat condition.
* Clients on a schedule will receive *priority booking* and consistent appointment times where possible.
* Missed scheduled appointments may result in loss of your regular slot.
* Maintaining a schedule helps prevent matting, reduces grooming time, and keeps costs more predictable.
🤝7. General Agreement
By booking an appointment, you confirm that:
* You have read and agree to all salon policies.
* You understand that additional charges may apply depending on your dog’s condition and behaviour.
* All policies are in place to ensure the welfare, safety, and comfort of every dog in our care.
