It's that time again, something I always put off. But from February 23rd there will be a price increase of £5 on most services. As always I want to continue to provide the very best for all your precious pooches, who I adore❤️

We want to speak honestly with our community.
This time last year, Wonky Candles was in a very similar position. Orders were slow, costs were rising, and the future felt uncertain. You showed up for us in ways we will never forget. Because of your support, Wonky didn’t just survive — it continued to do good, to welcome people in, and to exist at all.
Now, we find ourselves here again — but the pressures are heavier.
The cost of living continues to rise, and so do the costs of materials, utilities, and running a physical space. We’ve made every possible cut to keep going. We don’t heat the building unless absolutely necessary, trying to keep bills down — but this is far from ideal, especially when we are running experience sessions for SEND children, where comfort, warmth, and a safe environment truly matter.
We are doing everything we can to protect what Wonky stands for, but we can’t do it alone.
Over the past year, we’ve all watched well-known, established names disappear from the high street. Businesses many assumed would always be there — suddenly gone. We don’t want Wonky Candles to become another one of those stories.
Wonky is more than candles. It’s about sustainability, inclusion, community, and creating a space where people — especially those who often feel overlooked — are welcomed and valued. Losing Wonky would mean losing all of that too.
If you are able to support us right now — by placing an order, booking a session, sharing our posts, or simply talking about what we do — it genuinely makes a difference. Your support last year kept our doors open. Your support now could help ensure they stay open.

My boys in the bottom left corner🧡 Andy is a local artist who does hand drawn portraits of your dogs. Completely in awe of his talent- he captures each dog so so perfectly. I have the portrait of my boys up in the groom room.. so many of you have commented on how beautiful it is❤️ Such a special portrait.. one I will keep with me for life.

Only 5 sleeps to go until Saturday and my pencils are down now until after Christmas. Back in work Christmas Day so I’m enjoying time with family & friends while I can over the next few days. Here’s all the double portraits I drew this year and looking forward to the ones I already have pencilled in next year. Wishing all my followers an amazing Christmas ❤️🎅🏻🎄

Groom day rolled around for our boy Gus. Gus has that wavy, kinda straight, kinda curly coat🤣 but it’s also soft as velvet & very well maintained at home. I also think the fact he is on a raw diet has a huge part to play in his coat being so lovely. I’d love to show this boy at a grooming comp one day but I’m always perfecting his groom. Him being a doodle is what I enjoy most about grooming him- I love poodle patterns and cuts, so trying to perfect it on a doodle coat puts my brain to the test😆 It still needs a lot of work, but here’s the latest of him!
