What a week it’s been for the whole team at KR Vets! 🐴💨

A beautiful way to finish an incredibly busy week — seeing competitors safely off the track at Down Royal Racecourse.

We’re proud to be longstanding members of the veterinary teams at both racecourses here in Northern Ireland, supporting the welfare of horses and riders at every meeting. Days like these are a reminder of what a privilege it is to work alongside such dedicated teams both on and off the track.

Huge thanks to everyone involved behind the scenes who helps make race days run safely and smoothly. 🏇👏

🐴🩺 Did your foal get enough colostrum?

At our clinic we’ve been using our Sidekick IgG Reader extensively this foaling season to give rapid, on-yard answers about a new born foal’s immunity status.

By checking IgG levels early, we can identify cases of Failure of Passive Transfer (FPT) before a foal becomes sick — allowing us to administer life-saving IV plasma promptly and give foals the best possible start in life.

After an incredible 2.5 years of bimonthly clinics at Dirraw Farm Equestrian, we are SO excited to announce that from Thursday 4th June we will officially be running WEEKLY clinics! 🎉🐴

What started as a vision has grown into something much bigger, and it’s all thanks to the amazing support from our fantastic clients and the hard work behind the scenes from our dream team 💫

From June onwards, Chris, Elizabeth & Gemma will be continuing to bring their combined experience, passion and teamwork to Dirraw every single week.

We honestly couldn’t have reached this point without the loyalty and support of so many regular clients who have backed us from the very beginning. Watching the clinics grow over the last two and a half years has been amazing, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. ❤️

Our North Coast dream team of Elizabeth and Chris are about to become even more familiar faces (though not quite as dapper as the Christmas party!).

Due to the ongoing success and growing demand for our North Coast Clinic at Dirraw Farm Equestrian, we are delighted to announce that from Thursday 4th June we will be moving to WEEKLY clinics.

Initially, clinics will run weekly throughout our busiest months of June, July and August, with the hope of continuing this service throughout the off-season too.

We’ve been incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received in County Antrim from what have now become many regular clients. Every clinic has been fully booked, whilst still welcoming new clients each month, and it’s exciting to see what the future holds for our services in the area.

For those who haven’t yet visited us at Dirraw, we offer a wide range of services including:
