A very important post from Rosie’s Trust who do such incredible work keeping owners and their pets together during ill health or older age. Please have a look at the ways in which you could help them if you are able to. Thank you.
🚨 Urgent Appeal from Rosie's Trust ❤️🐾
Rosie's Trust recently received the news that we have lost our core funding. Whilst this was unexpected and disappointing, we believe with your support, we can weather this challenge and make sure we can continue helping those people who rely on us.
Some people who aren't "pet people" might not understand. But if you know, you know. ❤️ You understand the bond between a person and their pet. You can imagine the heartache and guilt of no longer being able to exercise your dog, take your pet to the vet, or having to leave them behind during a lengthy hospital stay. You understand that, for some people, their pet is their only companion, their family and their reason to keep going. The thought of having to place them in kennels indefinitely, surrender them, or even face the possibility of unnecessary euthanasia simply because there is no support available is heart breaking.
We will continue to seek out every other funding opportunity to keep our charity going. You can support us by making a one-off or regular donation, organising a fundraiser, or even leaving a gift to Rosie's Trust in your Will - something we've never asked for before. We are also appealing to local businesses to consider choosing Rosie's Trust to fundraise for.
Every day, we support older people, those with mobility issues, people undergoing cancer treatment and those living with terminal illness by helping them keep the pets they love.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful beneficiaries, Margaret and Martin, who kindly allowed us to share their photo with their beloved dog, Holly. We've been supporting them for the past 18 months with the help of our amazing volunteer, Hazel, who is also pictured.
Thank you for believing in Rosie's Trust and helping us continue caring for people by caring for their pets. ❤️
