Blue-green algae poisoning can happen if a dog drinks contaminated water, swims in it, or licks it from their coat after dips.
It can be highly poisonous and may become life-threatening. ⚠️
Please contact us immediately if your dog has been near suspected blue-green algae, especially if you notice signs such as:
🐾 Vomiting or diarrhoea
🐾 Drooling
🐾 Weakness or collapse
🐾 Tremors or twitching
🐾 Breathing difficulties
🐾 Seizures
🐾 Pale or yellow gums
If your dog has been in suspicious water, don’t let them lick their coat, and give them a bath as soon as possible.
