Hedgehogs are wild, they have strong instincts & arent tame...they dont tend to run away. Predators chase so freezing makes sense, especially with a protective coat of spines !

Hogs ready to go! During rehabilitation we give them the opportunity to keep foraging & nest building to keep those natural instinctive behaviours strong....
As always these photos are zoomed in... hedgehogs are shy creatures, prone to stress so we give them peace & quiet....shhh...
