From protecting turtles in Cabo Verde 🇨🇻 to conservation projects in Indonesia 🇮🇩… this journey just became even more meaningful.
I’m incredibly honoured to join the Board of Directors for Turtle Foundation UK alongside the amazing team at .foundation 🌊🐢
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with .foundation on projects dedicated to marine conservation and protecting endangered sea turtles around the world. Now, with the growing issue of turtle strandings here in the UK, we’re committed to driving education, awareness, and real action forward.
This is only the beginning.
There are some exciting projects and announcements coming very soon — and trust me, you’ll want to be part of them.
Follow now and join our waiting list to be the first to hear what’s next. 🌍

⚠️ Viewer discretion advised
Sun’s out, gardens are buzzing… but for wildlife, this time of year can be deadly.
In just the past few weeks, our wildlife hospital has seen a huge surge in injured animals — many caused by lawn mowers and strimmers.
Hidden in that long grass could be:
🦔 hedgehogs
🐦 nesting birds
🐸 frogs and other small creatures
They don’t stand a chance against blades.
Before you cut, take a minute.
Check your grass. Clear the area. Go slowly.
Those extra moments might feel small…
but they could save a life.
Let’s make our gardens safe spaces for everyone 🌿.

There's no greater joy than seeing an old patient flourish long after treatment. A few months ago, this leopard tortoise required a feeding tube to aid its recovery, and today I saw him happily munching on fresh grass in the sun! The healing abilities of tortoises and turtles are truly remarkable. (The last video shows a wild leopard tortoise I found when in ) 🐢

As the busy season approaches, we’ve been welcoming some amazing wildlife patients! 🐦🦔
When tidying up your garden this weekend, remember: wildlife may be sharing your space too.
We’re still fundraising to expand our centre’s capabilities—your support makes a huge difference!

Here are some photos from my recent trip to the symposium in Hawai’i
I had the privilege of sharing knowledge between experts and sharing experiences of our work on sea turtles across the globe.
A special thank you to Danial, Maria, Heather and Daphne rescue for their hard work organising the veterinary and rehabilitation workshop
It was great to share my research into the health status of the turtles we encounter on Cabo Verde alongside representing at the regional meeting to share all of the great work the team has achieved in the last season
We look forwards to the next ISTS in South Africa in 2027
It’s amazing to see the hard work and dedication that people are putting in across the globe to further sea turtle conservation:

Amazing few weeks in Indonesia with the team at and .foundation . We successfully deployed satellite trackers to leatherbacks on the island of Simeulue. We hope to find out where they go after they have nested. It was great to see the team hard at work on the beach all working towards a common goal of sea turtle conservation in the region. We started the trip with the issues with fishing nets in the island of Simelue and the impact their having on leatherbacks. We then set out to the beaches at night to deploy the satellite tags when they would come up onto the beach to nest. Their sheer size and grace was truly mesmerising and something I won’t ever forget. I then set off to the small island of Saluet Besar where we worked with the rangers there isolated and discussed what improvements could be made. My final adventure was to the jungle in search of wild orangutans and I’m pleased to say after two longs days of trekking through the jungle and camping on the jungle floor we found a small group of 3. It was wonderful to see them in their natural environment unspoiled by humans.
Thank you to everyone involved. It was a truly amazing trip and one I won’t forget. More pictures about the adventure to follow over the next few days

This is a huge thank you to everyone who has helped, volunteered and donated to us in 2025. As you know it’s been an amazingly busy year so to see how well the centre has done in its first year is incredible! We hope 2026 will help us build further on the great work being done.
Remember to share the YouTube video and get this to as many as we possibly can.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the preview last night it was great to get so much support for what we’re doing. The full video now on YouTube, the link is in my bio. Please share this to anyone and everyone to help this reach as many people as possible to help educate and enable us to expand and provide a service to other wildlife charities in need. We have started a fundraiser to help get to the next step of hopefully building a mobile vet unit to help more wildlife charities across the country. Thank you again for all the support it’s really appreciated.

Last week I had the privilege of being asked to participate in the alumni panel at the university of Surrey vet school. It was great to catch up with colleagues and pass on some of my experiences to help the new vets coming into the industry. I hope by giving a view point from a less traditional career pathway it will help others to be inquisitive and explore other avenues in the veterinary profession.
