😍 Could you give Tay-Tay his forever home?😍

Tay-Tay had a poorly paw 🐾 recently but is feeling all better now and has thankfully now been signed-off by the vet.

He’s sweetly asked for a sofa 🛋️ to call his own so he can spend most of the day napping 😴 in comfort.

🐾 There must be a home out there for Dazzle! 🐾

Our beautiful, regal Mr Dazzle has been with us for over a year. He’s continually overlooked simply because he can be reactive to dogs he doesn’t know, when out and about, but yet one of our kennel assistants has taken him home to show him what home life is all about and he has been a perfect house guest, and been absolutely golden with her greyhound.

He continually shows us time and time again that he has so many positive traits yet because of the one drawback he has (a drawback that can certainly be worked on when in a home) people don’t consider him when looking to adopt. He has so very much to offer, and staff and volunteers alike continually sing his praises. We can see him starting to get depressed watching all the hounds around him come and go finding homes and it’s heart breaking for us to see 😢. He’s so happy when he gets to spend time with his favourite volunteers and really doesn’t demand much of us here at the kennels.

Please if you do not have room for this gorgeous boy, please share far and wide to help us maybe reach that forever home that he so deserves.

And don’t worry — this isn’t about breaking records (unless you want to). You can walk, run, skip, or even dance your way to the finish line 💃

Due to the continuing rising cost of living, we've made a small increase to a few of our prices starting from April 1st 2026.

This decision has not been made lightly. Daybreaks as a charity, works hard to keep our services as affordable and accessible for everyone, whilst continuing to be able to give as much back to the Greyhounds as possible.

🐾 Barny’s at Pets at Home Erdington! 🐾

We’re at Pets at Home and Groom Room Erdington with the lovely Barny who is looking for a home 🏡 to call his own.

Barny travels well, he’ll actively jump into his crate in the van, ready for adventures. He also loves kiddies and humans in general. He’s even good on walks. He also loves to play with his toys- Mr. Carrot is his current favourite!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has stepped forward — we’re now fully covered for our April Pets at Home dates and the Birmingham & Black Country Half Marathon in July! 🙌

° NEW ARRIVAL °

CHICA aged 4

Chica has recently arrived at Daybreaks. We are getting to know her but she has settled in quickly and her trainer says she is a happy, friendly girl. She is very sweet and enjoys a cuddle.

Happy Easter! 🐣 Could you be a pawsome suppawter?!

Would you love to get more involved with the work of Daybreaks Trust? We’re looking for volunteers to help look after our former racing Greyhounds. Could you help to clean out kennels, feed dogs, provide enrichment for our dogs, and help take the dogs on walks?

We‘re looking for help particularly on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

If you could volunteer on any of these days and reliably commit to volunteering on the same day every week, please call 📞 Daybreaks on 0121 782 7702 or 07960 369820.

Volunteers must be 18+ due to insurance purposes. No experience needed, just a love of dogs 🐾
