⚠️No dog dies from missing a walk, but dogs do die from walking in the sun⚠️

☀️Signs of Heat Stroke☀️
Spotting the signs of heat stroke early, and seeking emergency treatment, can massively increase your dog’s chance of survival.

In the early stages of heat stroke, your dog is likely to appear restless and distressed. They may also pant heavily and drool. As their condition worsens they will begin to lose coordination and eventually collapse. Other signs of heat stroke include:

⚠️Rapid breathing
⚠️Racing heart
⚠️Overheating (skin hot to touch)
⚠️Glassy eyes
⚠️Unsteady on feet
⚠️Gums turning a bluish-purple or bright red colour
⚠️Vomiting
⚠️Seizures
⚠️Unconsciousness
⚠️Collapse

If you notice any of these signs please contact your vet immediately for emergency treatment.

As I enter my 23rd year as a full time professional Canine Behaviourist and 52nd year as a passionate dog owner and devotee, I would like to say a huge thank you to all you www.dogsunderstood.com Friends - Clients - Followers - and Colleagues for your continued support.
I remain today as passionate about canine welfare and helping owners - new and experienced - as I ever have.
I am humbled by all the continued positive referrals both on social media platforms and other means from you all, that I receive DAILY.
I have been, and continue to be, so fortunate over the years to meet so many lovely owners and, of course, their wonderful dogs. I particularly enjoy the fact the dogs never forget me, sometimes years later.
Most of all I am so lucky I get to live life everyday amongst such lovely furry four legged friends, with the opportunity to advise, guide and assist everyone to have a more harmonious and loving life together. Thank you all: Sally 🐾🐾
