Another day…
Another muck out… (or skip out, should I say)💩

Concord Straw Pellets & Aubiose H**p bedding providing time saving, cost effective, alternative bedding this year when straw is unavailable and shavings are expensive and wasteful!

Only half a wheelbarrow ‘muck’ out per day and minimal wastage! Muck out time approx 7minutes per stable…

Are you STILL using the old school straw or shavings?…. Why?!

This is the year to switch it up and try something new whilst saving time, effort, and money!

Was so lovely to receive an update from Viking yesterday after 5 weeks in his new home….⚔️

A ‘quirky’ cob, sold unseen and unvetted to a mature lady rider - an experienced rider but taking a step back from competition and just wanted a ‘happy hacker’ to enjoy…

I would guess we sell 25% of our horses ‘unseen’ - and from years of experience, I can honestly say that we have less ‘issues’ with those sold unseen compared to those that are tried.

Why do you think that could be?

I have an idea why - would be interested to hear your perspective x

Confession time…..

Was laid in bed tonight, with a stinking head cold, just got comfortable - and then bam 🤯 intrusive thoughts kick in….

Did I shut the stable door?! I’m sure I did?! Of course I did….

Did I give the horses their night time hay?!
Actually, did I? I must have done! F**K i didn’t! Yes i did?! Did I though?!! Arrggg…

I groaned my way out if bed, into the cold car, driving almost 25 minutes to the yard - at this point, not sure if I’m hoping I did or didn’t forget their hay!!

Annndddd….

I forgot to give them their night time hay!!!

thankfully they didn’t seem too bothered, they were both asleep, but now at least I can sleep because I know they finally have hay for the night…

Let’s all fess up now - get it off your chest - make me feel less s**t of a horse owner!! 💩

Spend the day with us 😀

An easy but productive day today… 💪

Our first day trialling our new beds with Concord straw pellets 💜 and Aubiose h**p bedding 💚 very impressed with both products:

Quick and easy muck out ✅
Minimal waste ✅

Will give a proper review and cost rundown for both at the end of the week!

Yogi was clipped today - what a super sweet little boy he is - he fell asleep where he was so relaxed 😴

Grace is coming on wonderfully in the school ❤️

We had a visit today from Jess at Keyflow feeds to discuss our horses nutritional requirements.

I would never endorse a product I haven’t tried, tested, and loved 💕 but have used Keyflow pink mash personally for years - it’s a ‘must have’ in our feed bin and I highly recommend it to everybody!

It’s an excellent fibre based feed to mix with a range of complete feed, supplements or balancer, low heating, and designed to support gut health. Ideal for our happy hacking cobs which are stabled in the winter. Keyflow also do a ‘conditioning’ mash - ideal for those working cobs with jobs!!

It can be used as a partial forage / hay replacer which is going to be valuable for our horses this winter when we will be rationing their hay due to low supply and extortions costs!

I Recommend Keyflow feeds 💯 and we shall we be investing in their ‘one scoop’ muesli this winter (do your own research on their product - it does what it says and you will be impressed - will link in the comments)

My sister is the BEST at producing small ponies for small people - assessing temperament first, always!

Please give her page a follow - we work in a similar way, from the same yard, and share the same riders (because our riders are also the best 👌)

She’s missing a trick with a social media (she doesn’t do social media!) but she has so much to teach and share so I’ve encouraged her to make her presence a little more known on this platform! She will appreciate all the support from ‘Trinas Tribe’

Mind-Blowing Maths Quiz! 🐴🧹💥

A groom starts work on a new yard, where their job is to muck out the same 12 stables every day!

According to their employment contract, the stables must be mucked out in a different order every single day — they can never repeat the same mucking out sequence.

Question:
In theory, how long could the groom keep working before they’re forced to repeat a muck out sequence and break the contract?

Take a guess in the comments and I will reply higher or lower - no cheating!

Grace and Yogi are between 2 yards at the moment…. On a Monday they go for a nice hack around the village, to our main yard with facilities.

They are stabled from Monday PM until Friday AM when they are then hacked back to their field for weekend turnout - they will be schooled Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday and having a little glow up this week… (a clip and a trim)

This is our first week trial with our 💜Concord Straw Pellet Bedding & Aubiose H**p Bedding 💚

Grace had a little nibble on her bed when she first came in but soon spat it out - it’s only straw and a little nibble won’t harm them. She’s such a polite mare - more than happy for me to put her leg wraps on, lose in the stable, whilst tucking into a bowl of porridge 😋

Yogi blended in with his new clean white shiny Aubiose bed - don’t you just LOVE that sound of them slurping on their feed!

last time we posted our turnout routine we got alot of backlash but you’ll be reassured to know we still slept as soundly as our horses do in their comfortable stables… 😴
