European 3 Cup Team Training Day*

A productive training day for the European 3* Cup Team, kindly supported by Wellington Riding.

Under the guidance of coaches Kylie Roddy FBHS and David Sheerin Equestrian Coach FBHS , riders took part in individual coaching sessions focused on developing their horses’ way of going and improving rider feel and effectiveness.

The afternoon brought a different challenge, with six combinations coming together to learn the timing, accuracy and feel required to ride a team dressage test. The day concluded with a jumping session, sharpening skills and building confidence ahead of the competition arena.

A fantastic opportunity for riders and horses to continue their development as preparations build towards the 2027 European 3* Cup Championship. 🐴🇬🇧

🎉 A Very Special Arrival at Wellington Riding! 🎉

One of our much loved school horses, Bam Bam, has given birth to a beautiful bay c**t, and both mum and baby are doing wonderfully.

Now we need your help! 🐴

Our newest arrival is looking for the perfect name, and we’d love our Wellington Riding family to get involved. Whether it’s something inspired by Bam Bam, his cheeky personality, or simply a name you think suits him, we’d love to hear your suggestions.

British Dressage highlighted a strong showing from youth riders at the Wellington CDI, where the event served as a key final selection opportunity ahead of the European Championships. Across the classes, emerging British combinations delivered impressive, consistent performances against international competition.

Standout results came from riders including Isla Sully, who secured wins in both the Junior Team and Individual tests with personal best scores, alongside strong podium finishes from fellow competitors.

Elsewhere, continued success was seen in the Under 25 division, with Lilah Gibbs extending her winning run across multiple classes, reinforcing the depth of talent within the British dressage pathway.

Overall, the Wellington CDI once again proved an important international platform for developing riders, showcasing the next generation of British talent as they push for selection onto European Championship teams. Good luck to all!

An inspiring performance from Carl Hester and Fame at Wellington International Festival of Dressage 👏

We’re proud to provide the stage for moments like these, and wish them the very best as they look ahead to Aachen.

Carl Hester and Fame lit up the Hampshire drizzle at Wellington International Festival of Dressage to claim victory in both the CDI3* grand prix and freestyle – scoring 85.21% in the latter, just 0.2% shy of their personal best. The pair look to be heading to the World Championships at Aachen in some of the best form of their career.
