A little update…..As I know some people are panicking about their grooms booked. The past couple of days I have managed to groom a few dogs (not overloading myself) I’ll be limiting how many I do a day otherwise I’ll end up back at square one. I’m doing ok but taking things SLOW! So please don’t expect too much too quickly!

Sadly not much rest when you are self employed!

I have my MRI scan this week to tell me what the damage is then go from there.

In the meantime please bear with me as my energy levels are not quite as sharp

Hi everyone

This is a completely open and honest post about myself going forward at the moment. For those who have genuine back issues I am sure you can appreciate it when it’s not just a “I’ve tweaked my back” it’s a I’ve seriously injured my back big time. I’m not going to lie it is a massive struggle at some points in the day.

So…. Going forward for the time being it may may mean I’m going to be working on a dog by dog case basis. It may mean ok I’ve done one dog but actually I don’t feel I can do the next. It may mean spacing them out or reducing amount i do a day or cutting down my days until I can get back to normal. I’m a massive workaholic because i genuinely adore my job and the dogs i groom

Next I plan to do my best to return next week but please keep in mind there is likely to be changes often last minute but there is little I can do about this

The ones I am likely to struggle a bit more with are the ones who come in pairs this due to the amount of time I am standing for

At the same time I’m not willing to over do it and end up back in hospital for another week

So please keep an open mind with your up and coming appointments

Hi all

I’m finally back home 🙏 I have really missed my home comforts and family. I’am very very sore so will be taking each day as it comes with my recovery. I won’t be going back to my normal work load for a while and will have to do minimal numbers when I’m ready. Hope that won’t be too far away I’ll be in touch with those leading up to appointments as it may mean tweaking them slightly until I am eventually back to working normal

Hope this makes sense. For now it’s lots of rest and family time x

Hi everyone

Just a little update as I’ve had a few messages to see how I’m doing. I’m still in hospital and waiting for more information on when I will be able to go home/ get back to work.

I do want to get back as soon as I can but also don’t want to do a whole 360 and end up here again so please bear with me. If I am able to return anytime soon it maybe a case of me only being able to do certain dogs until I’m back to full strength due to how long I can stand for/ behaviour etc

Once I know more I will update again

Hi everyone

Thanks for the get well wishes. I’m still in hospital at the moment. I haven’t responded as I’m on very strong pain relief and don’t find it easy to message/ read much. I’ll hopefully be back on my feet asap but for now I won’t be working and following hospitals orders. I can’t say when I will be back but hopefully in a few days. I’ll be taking each day as it comes as I don’t want to do a complete circle and end up back at square one and end up having more time off.

Please bear with me I’ll be back as soon as I can I promise x

Hi everyone

This is really important post to share ‼️

Over the next week it is due to be extremely hot 🔥 with this in mind there is likely to be appointments that will need to be rescheduled. I understand that this may disappoint some people however, your dogs health and wellbeing is my top priority. I do have air conditioning but when temperatures are forecast to be as high as they are hot dryers going and hot dogs do not mix well

Please bear this in mind if you have a grooming appointment soon. I hope you can all understand the importance of this
