Proud to support a wonderful local show 🌿🏆

We were delighted to sponsor the Brendon & District Show, one of the oldest and much loved shows on Exmoor 🐴🐩✨

It was extra special for us this year as one of our very own came away with Best in Show! 🎉🥇 The beautiful Ash caught the judges eye yesterday and many of you will recognise this gorgeous girl from behind the desk in reception! 💖

It was fantastic to see the local community come together to celebrate our animals, countryside and traditions. Shows like Brendon & District are such an important part of the local community, and we’re incredibly proud to play a small part in supporting them. 🌾💚

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and especially to Ash and her proud owners! 🏆🥰

🚜 Exciting News – Our Farm Animal Department Opens on 7th September! 🐄🐑🐖

The countdown is on! We're delighted to announce that Moorland Vets' Farm Animal Department will officially open on 7th September, and we can't wait to start supporting local farmers and their livestock.

📧 Register your interest today by emailing [email protected]. One of our dedicated farm team will then get in touch to arrange an initial onboarding visit and discuss how we can support your farm.

From 7th September, we'll also be providing government TB testing and private TB testing services.

Our farm services will include:
✅ 24/7 emergency veterinary care with an experienced, dedicated local farm vet
✅ A nominated primary vet for continuity of care and tailored advice
✅ Herd and flock health planning
✅ Routine dairy and beef fertility visits, scanning and fertility management
✅ Integrated parasite control plans, including same-day in-house faecal egg testing
✅ Disease investigation and on-farm troubleshooting
✅ Bull and ram fertility testing
✅ Government and private TB testing

At Moorland Vets, we're committed to building lasting relationships with our farming clients and providing practical, proactive veterinary care to help your business thrive.

A little notice for the near future! 🌞🔨

We’re having solar panels fitted to our roof as part of our commitment to becoming more sustainable. As a result, there may be a little extra noise around the practice while the work is being carried out.

If you’re visiting us, please take extra care when parking and walking to the building, as scaffolding is in place around the front of the practice.

How cute is this little kitten! 🐱🥰

Leo visited us this week for his first vaccinations and was an absolute superstar🌟 Vaccinations are an important step in protecting kittens from serious infectious diseases and helping them get the healthiest start in life.

He earned plenty of treats and cuddles for being so brave 🩺❤️

🚧 Exciting changes are happening at Moorland Vets! 🌱☀️
If you’re visiting us over the coming weeks, you may notice a little disruption while we carry out some exciting improvements.

We’re installing solar panels to help power the practice with green electricity, reducing our carbon footprint, and making our practice more sustainable for the future. 🌍

You’ll also see some changes to our car park, where we’re creating additional parking spaces to make visiting us even easier.
At the same time, neighbouring building works will be taking place as we prepare for the exciting launch of our new farm practice, which is due to open in September. 🐄🚜

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these improvements are underway. We can’t wait to share the finished results with you and continue providing the best possible care for all of your animals.

Our Puppy Party is designed to help puppies become familiar with the practice, meet our team, and build confidence through positive experiences 🤩

This is Lillie she is only 5 months old and was feeling very relaxed in our reception yesterday 🥰🪷

Deceased Cat Found

We have sadly had a black and white female cat handed into us who was found deceased between Combe Martin and Blackmoor Gate.

She is not microchipped, so we have been unable to identify her owner.
