hot weather alert possible from Monday.
With this in mind we have once again extended our opening times from 8am to 9pm, last session 8pm. This will give you an opportunity to walk in the cooler part of the day.
Temperatures are expected to be around 25 to 27 degrees, could feel cooler here due to being 1000 feet up and close to exmoor.
We shall monitor the temperatures each day.

Having to do the night shift this evening. Grass cutting as the sun sets, just lovely. Wet days and then busy dry days means limited grass cutting opportunities.

Grass all nice and short again ready for our users on Sunday.

Did you know we are only 20 minutes from barnstaple, Combe martin and South Molton.
You won't be stuck in traffic up here, well maybe a tractor, ha ha

We are totally secure and with plenty of equipment to keep your dogs entertained.

We offer mid week sessions for just £8.50
You'll need to book these in advance though.
Our standard cost for 1 to 3 dogs is £10
4 to 6 dogs £12.
Its more than cost effective to drive to us, and well worth the drive.

One of the benefits to living onsite is, when you get a break in the wet weather and you have 50 minutes before the next users is due.

Its a swift operation to get the grass cut and strimmed around the equipment, picnic table and around the perimeter of the field. We just about made it in time.

Looking good if I do say so myself.

Wonder why we do not let the grass grow long here? one simple answer Ticks. Ticks love long grass and warm weather, Keeping the grass short reduces the risk by a significant amount.
If a tick gets hold of your dog you cannot just wash them off. A tick remover is the safest way.

How easy is it to find ticks?
If you regularly stroke your dog you will get to know every lump and bump, strange but true. You'll feel something is not right, investigate and realise that the tiny bump you are feeling is indeed a tick that has just got hold, this is the time to get it off.

This can't be right a dry bank holiday Monday all but a bit hot.
With the hot weather in mind we are opening from 8am and our last session will be 8pm to 9pm to help you dodge the warmer weather.

Bare in mind that we can generally be slightly cooler here due to a nice gentlye breeze.

We regularly get new visitors to our field, some are locals with a new dog or a new issue with a current dog, and this time of year we get quite a few holidays makers who need an enjoyable safe and secure space to let their dog off lead.

Here are a couple of dogs who are on holiday enjoying the use of our field. We loved meeting them and the owners for their first visit.

Has anyone left some glasses at our field on Tuesday? For any one who has left but now cannot see our photo, they are turquoise in colour, rounded type, very nice but sadly not my style or lens type. Ha ha.
Please message us so we can get them back to you.
