Our lovely new Holiday Livery settled in perfectly yesterday and now time to have some fun over the next 2 weeks while his owner is away!

We try to accommodate to every horse’s individual needs so this boy gets soaked hay and stabled during the day as part of his normal home routine due to having EMS. He is also staying in work while with us and we’ve been given the goal by his owner to get him in the sea 🌊

We still have some space for Holiday Livery over the Summer and Autumn so if you are going away and want the security of knowing your horse is being looked after every day, give us a message 😊 Horses can be kept in work or just looked after in the field. We use an isolated field which has horses in sight but is bio-security safe for those coming from yards.

My main man is now down at the farm to be brought back into work after an extended holiday since December due to all that’s happened the past few months 🙈
A quick trot on the lunge, bath and tidy up, ready to get back to it 🤞🏻 He’s come in from the field looking fantastic 😍

Week 1 with the cutest western boy complete 🤠
We have went from not knowing pretty much anything ridden wise other than how to be sat on, to now having a nice soft contact, off the leg and trotting 🥰 Time to now start hacking to build him up!

Day 1 with the new boy on the block 🥰

This handsome boy is in for Schooling Livery.
He was backed by another professional last year and not much was achieved while he was away then owners have lacked time to get more ridden work done themselves so he’s with us to get a good foundation built and some miles put on him!
Thankfully owners have been super proactive with his ground work, including in-hand clinics so he’s seen plenty of the world, just needs it translated into ridden work.
The most exciting thing about him is he’s an American Quarter Horse who we are getting to work with Western! A little different training style needed from our usual English ridden horses but we pride ourselves on being able to adapt to every individual horse and owners goals ✨

Please no more timewasters for this boy, we have all the information we can provide about him on our page. For an amazing horse he only has a few vices which aren’t even a problem with us.

He has previously had ulcers which have been treated, we know it was because of him not settling on the busy competition yard owner is on. He is happy and relaxed on our quiet yard, totally fine with horses but wants less people around.
He doesn’t like men, and needs to bond with his rider to get the best out of him. He’s a big loveable pup to “his person”.
He’s does have a tiny melanoma on his dock.
Can take a minute to load but we know what to do and happy to show any prospective buyer as he still gains confidence. Gets better every outing.

If you can get past all that, you can have a stunning chunky boy who is a proper stamp of an Irish Draught, a leg in each corner type. He has lovely steady movement with a natural head carriage. A big bold jump which would suit a low level eventer or even someone wanting to introduce him to hunting. He’ll canter on the beach on a loose rein and is pretty good in traffic.
A total calm gentleman in new environments and just gets on with the job. We’ve taken him as far as we can and absolutely love him here, would keep him in a heartbeat but 9 horses of our own is quite enough 🙈

Texas provided his first foal therapy session today and Alaska got lots of much needed love (and treats) 🥰 They both loved the attention and were very well behaved!

We are working around the vets since Alaska is still getting ongoing treatment but they are both available for cuddles while stuck in the stables, just message the page for a day!

Please remember we are only doing 1 group a day with a max of 4 people in a group. A donation of £10 per person goes towards Alaska’s vet bills to hopefully get her feeling better so she can enjoy life back in the field with her baby 🥰

We said it as a joke but turns out Texas really loves the attention and Alaska is happy for the free babysitting so, to help us raise money for Alaska’s ever growing vet bills, her 3 week old son, Texas, is happy to offer his cuddling (more like nibbling) services to the public while they are stuck in the stables.

Both very much love attention but do need people who are able to be quiet and calm around them. Children are welcome but must be able to sit still and not shout.

We are based at Lunan Bay Beach so come make a day of it 🥰 Message the page to book a slot.

This is the kind of horse that makes me want to return to eventing 😍 bold, brave and just an utter joy to have a play with!

Mac would do great at low level dressage, eventing, working Hunter or even just a happy hacker! The only thing he requires is a patient confident and experienced owner who can have him on a quiet yard and be his sole caregiver/rider. He likes to bold with his person and will give them his all once you have his trust 🥹
