It’s been just over 5 months since Wizards spinal cord accident, which left him completely paralysed from his chest down - Dogs amaze me!
He still struggles with incontinence but I am convinced we will get there!!
He loves life and that’s all that matters!!
We could not have got here if it wasn’t for the amazing dog professionals helping him along the way, their expert knowledge is second to none.
K9 Massage Clinic, Locomotion Hydrotherapy Centre & JK Animal Physiotherapy
And of course the help from amazing friends, not only helping Wiz (cleaning his poo, keeping his spirits up and of course Angus Healthy Hounds making sure he has a supply of great chews!) helping me too survive this crazy chapter in my life and keep classes running!! 🥰

Wizard absolutely loves his massages from Katrina at K9 Massage Clinic! He was so needing this after a rough week. He is feeling wonderful now! ❤️

We had a fantastic weekend away with friends camping and competing in Scent work up North, it was a The National Nosework Association Entry level trial ran and judged by Canine Concerns Dog Training & Behaviour, an incredible venue at Moravia Aviation Museum 🚁 ✈️
My boy Tiamo did amazing, it was hot, he was tired (we’ve never done a night time trial before) but he got his last little exterior win to move him up a level 😬
The weekend was filled with dogs, sunshine, food, laughter and beach walks at the amazing Findhorn & Lossiemouth beach 🏖️

We are taking a day to get all the washing done & van back to normal and get some well needed rest, but will get back to all the messages asap!

What’s in your dogs chews? 🍖🍗 or 🫛🥔
I often get asked about oral health in dogs -
I’m going to let you in on a little secret…. Those “dental chews” you can buy for your dog don’t help your dogs teeth one little bit!! (In fact may be contributing to build up of plaque, tartar & not to mention allergies and obesity)

Have a look at the ingredients of some of these well known dental chews & treats…..
(Ingredients lists are chronological order, highest ingredient first)
CEREALS - Don’t clean teeth - most packets don’t even tell you what cereals!!
VEGETABLE DERIVATIVES - What vegetables? Who knows….
MEAT & ANIMAL DERIVATIVES - what meat?? Oh 4% (the minimum requirement for the brands to market it as that e.g Chicken chews
VARIOUS SUGARS - Well that’s great for our dogs (not)
Etc etc
So what does help clean their teeth??
Natural chews!!!
My boys get all natural, healthy chews - ears, snouts, hoofs, hide, feet, pizzle, necks, basically all the by products that humans waste!!
I know that the treats I give are 100% natural and free from nasties!!
I buy all my natural chews from Angus Healthy Hounds go check them out and make healthier choices for your dogs!!!

I am a very proud trainer tonight!! These two amazing girls Rosie & River stepped out into the agility competition rings today!! 🤩
These two girls have been coming along to dream dogs agility classes for nearly 2 years, and wow what a transformation in both!
Rosie used to be super shy & worried (we didn’t think we’d ever get her in a tunnel!) and River was so fast she liked to take short cuts 😈
So proud of both owners for never giving up!!
Agility is one of the hardest dog activities to train, so many elements, it requires so much understanding of our dogs and of course an amazing relationship between dog & owner!
The competition environment is tough! It’s loud, hundreds of dogs & people everywhere!
These guys aced it!! Cannot wait to see what the future holds for these young dogs!! 🤩

Today my wee pup (ok, ok, he’s 2 now but still!) and I headed out for his first agility competition! It was so hot, 25 degrees but he still ran like a little rocket round the two courses, bagging a 3rd & a 1st place!
He loved his day meeting old friends and making new ones!

Any breed, any age, no previous training required, suitable for nervous or reactive dogs (dogs work one at a time so don’t need to worry about your dog not liking other dogs!), tire your dog out mentally while building confidence & your relationship with your dog!
