Lains Shooting School Professional Shooting School located in the beautiful picturesque Hampshire countryside. Incorporating Mullenscote Gundogs.

Lains Shooting School and Mullenscote Gundogs were founded in 1987. The Shooting School offers the discerning shooter the opportunity to shoot a variety of targets from the grounds 50 traps in a relaxed countryside atmosphere. The Schools professional Shooting Instructors specialise in introducing people from a variety of backgrounds into the highly engaging sport of clay pigeon shooting. Our Shot

gun Skills Academy offers the perfect introduction, ensuring that safety, etiquette and shooting skills are thoroughly learned in a safe and educational atmosphere. Our open practice facilities are ideal for individuals, as the Shooting School is equipped throughout with Claymate trap Controllers. The hi-tech design and ease of use allows any solo shooter to have complete freedom of the school without the need for someone to activate the trap for you. Shooting times are shown below:

Whether you’re completely new to clay shooting or already have some experience under your belt, our Ladies Days are all about shooting, improving, meeting like-minded women and having a brilliant morning together. 💥

🎯 Introducing the Lains Shotgun Skills Academy

New to shooting? Start with the right foundations.

Our Shotgun Skills Academy is a three-session programme designed specifically for newcomers to clay shooting - helping you build confidence, learn essential shotgun safety and establish the basic skills needed to enjoy the sport safely.

Across the three sessions, we’ll cover:

• Safe shotgun handling and etiquette
• Carrying, loading and unloading safely
• Correct stance, gun mount and basic technique
• Range and ground safety
• Building confidence around the gun
• An introduction to shooting clay targets

The aim is to give every newcomer the knowledge, confidence and good habits to become a safe, competent and responsible shooter.

Whether you’d eventually like to shoot independently, join friends on the clay ground or continue developing through coaching, the Lains Shotgun Skills Academy is the perfect place to start.
