Designed for young puppies (8-16 weeks of age at the start of the class) who have never been to class. We will keep it fun and play lots of games which is still training. It builds the relationship with you and your puppy is learning along the way.

ADOLESCENCE – UNDERSTANDING AND WORKING WITH YOUR DOG’S TEENAGED BRAIN

OCTOBER 23RD; 30TH; NOVEMBER 6TH; 13TH; 20TH; 27TH
Dogs 9 months to 24 months of age who have not attended classes with us or who have attended PUPPY KINDERGARTEN or ADOLESCENT CLASS but would like to repeat this level.
Some people describe this life stage as the time when your cute puppy turns into a hormonal monster. For some dogs this usually lasts from 6 months to 18 months. In some dogs and the larger breeds and it last right into 3, 4 or 5 years of age! In this class we will target the common struggles of this life stage such as building Value for Proximity, Arousal Up/Arousal Down, Calmness, Disengagement and Relationship Building.

Who is going to be the lucky dog to grab the last spot in the November 15th Sensory here at the training building? I know I have mentioned it to a few students with "new to them" dogs. Such a great opportunity to get to know your dog even better.

REACTIVITY – SUPPORTING YOUR TROUBLED DOG

MONDAYS @ 7:00PM – CINDY – 6 WEEKS/$200.00

OCTOBER 20TH; 27TH; NOVEMBER 3RD; 10TH; 17TH; 24TH

Designed for dogs who are stressed on walks and in your home when guests come to the door. The dog will be barking, leaping, jumping or really scared and trying to escape. This will be about confidence building and giving the owners the tools for those situations.
NOT for dogs who have bitten people and fight with other dogs, these dogs are better served in private sessions.

I am gearing up to start this on Monday November 3rd!

Daycare days will be Mondays and Thursdays with drop offs between 8:00am & 8:30am and pick ups 4:30pm-5:30pm.

Puppies will have some group play times outside in a fully fenced-in yard as well as inside if the weather is bad.

Each puppy will get some one-on-one time with me throughout the day playing games, going for short walks, etc.

They will also gets lots of down time/sleep in crates during the day. I have the ability to place crates in different areas of the building to help promote rest.

They will get their lunch while here, provided by the guardians of course.

COST: $75.00/day or you can buy a four-day package for $280.00. I realize this is more expensive than regular day cares but with small groups and puppies needing constant supervision and likely lots of cleans ups I feel the price is appropriate.

I will need at least four puppies committed to coming each day to go ahead with this program, but there will never be more than six puppies each day.

OCTOBER 21ST; 28TH; NOVEMBER 4TH; 11TH; 18TH; 25TH

Aimed at puppies who are older (5 months-9 months) and may or may not have attended a session at a younger age. It will be based on games and more relationship building looking for stronger skills. For puppies who have attended our classes before it will build on those skills and for those that haven’t it will be a great start.

POLITE PAWS – BUILDING A WELL-ROUNDED CANINE COMPANION

This is for dogs over a year who may or may not have attended classes. It will a combination of the basics especially a reliable recall and walking on leash without yanking your arm off. There will be sniff games, basic agility skills, tricks and some canine good neighbour skills. (Check CGN testing on the Canadian Kennel club site). This will also be an opportunity for students to work on skills they may be interested in, you just have to ask!

We all start out on our doggy journey with a dream in mind of having that perfect relationship with our dog. One where he chooses us over the environment. One where we can be comfortable and confident taking him places and not worrying about where his attention will be. One where we can simply enjoy his being a dog and doing doggy things.
This class will get you started on the right path through game play.
No reactive or aggressive dogs please.

CANINE GOOD NEIGHBOUR PREP

Even if you decide not to complete the test , the classes will give you some great foundational skills for a well-mannered dog.
The first four classes will cover each of the tests in the program and will give you some fun, games-based training ideas to help your dog be successful. The final two classes will be a run-through of the entire test.
