There’s always more to learn in this industry, and that’s part of what makes it so rewarding. Every lesson, every dog, every groom is a chance to improve and be more intentional with my work.

Beau here was groomed during a private lesson, and hands-on learning like this is incredibly valuable. There’s so much detail in maintaining a coat like his properly, and continuing to build on those skills makes a real difference. Something I often recommend to dog owners is having more than one trusted boarding option.

Even if you have a place you love and trust, there may be times they’re fully booked or unavailable. Having a second option your dog is already familiar with can take a lot of pressure off in those moments and prevent last minute scrambling.

A little preparation ahead of time can make a big difference for both you and your dog.
