From bottle baby to thriving gent, this one is special. Mouse came into us a 2-week-old malnourished baby. Cristen nursed him back to health, and then couldn't say goodbye 💜🧡. 

"Mouse is coming up on his 1 year birthday, just wanted to send some update pics of how gorgeous of a cat and a joy all around he’s become, from the bat/mouse baby with no hair when he came in 🥲. Thanks for saving him ❤️."

Today Bill C-16, the Protecting Victims Act, has passed the House of Commons!

A huge thank you to everyone who sent a letter in support of this legislation, and to the MPs who voted to advance it.

Animal harm is linked to violence against people. Humane Canada has been saying this for years, and today, it was recognized by Parliament..

This milestone reflects Humane Canada’s long-standing advocacy to increase awareness of the violence link and promote stronger protections for animals and people experiencing abuse.

But the work isn't over yet. Bill C-16 must still pass the Senate before it can become law.

Ellie is back from foster! She had an incredible time in her temporary home, and continues to prove what a LOVELY bestie she'll make. She's cuddly, loves to play, and just needs a safe forever space to call her own.
Ellie is a smart girl and is still working on her reactivity on walks. The way some of her allergies are clearing up out of shelter is showing us that her reactions may be due to stress, too - we really gotta get this girl outta here permanently!

Taking a cue from some local gems, we've launched our own trendy sweet treats!

Pick your Dot Dog today - we have a variety of flavours like Abigail and her sweet smile, Luka's soulful eyes, and Shyla our playful smartie pants.
