💚 D’Arcy’s Animal Rescue Centre has a new look!

For 25 years, we’ve been helping animals and the people who love them. In all that time, our logo stayed the same. As we look ahead to the next 25 years, it felt like the right moment for a refresh that reflects who we are today while staying true to where we started.

Along with our updated logo and brand, we’ve launched a brand new website at darcysarc.ca. Whether you’re looking to adopt, board your pet, shop for your favourite pet supply brands, or find ways to support our mission, it’s now easier than ever to find what you need.
You’ll also start to see our new look appear throughout the shelter in the months ahead.

This project would not have been possible without the incredible team at Relish Ideas, who made it happen through their Community Grant program. Thank you for your hard work, creativity, patience, and dedication while working alongside our volunteer-led team.

A special thank you as well to Heather of , who beautifully captured the heart of D’Arcy’s Animal Rescue Centre in our new logo while keeping our signature green and beloved paw print right where they belong. And to Lindsay Rowan Photography for capturing the action at our shelter used throughout the site.

You can never have too many water bottles.

Meet Ello, Owala, and Yeti, three 9-week-old siblings who are ready to find homes of their own. They’re sweet, playful, curious, and at that fun stage where every day is a new adventure.

🖤 Ello has a little extra black on their legs.
🤎 Owala is the only girl of the trio and sports a light brown coat.
🤎 Yeti is the boy with rich brown colouring on his chest and legs.

Their mom, Stanleigh, has done an amazing job raising this crew. She’s also available for adoption, but she deserves a post of her own. Stay tuned.

For now, these three are ready to start the next chapter with families who can help them grow into the best dogs they can be.

Looking for a way to make a real difference this summer? 🐾

Volunteer with D’Arcy’s Animal Rescue Centre and help give rescued cats and dogs the care, confidence, and love they need before finding their forever homes.

Summer is one of our toughest seasons because many of our regular volunteers are away, and right now we’ll gladly take any help we can get! Whether you can spend time walking dogs, socializing cats, helping at events, or supporting behind the scenes, your time truly matters.

We’re also looking for professional volunteers with experience in administration, marketing, communications, fundraising, event planning, photography, and other specialized skills.

Have a corporate team looking for a meaningful group volunteer opportunity? We’d love to connect with you too.

Meet Fennel, Fern, Fickus, Flax, and Flora 🌿

These 9 week old puppies are part of a litter of 11 rescued from a difficult situation in Northern Manitoba. They were found living mostly outdoors, arriving scared, under-socialized, and in rough condition. Watching them learn what safety and comfort feels like has been so amazing to see.

They still have a long way to go, but they’re ready for the next chapter. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, this is your sign to come visit. Flora is the only girl, and yes, she runs the group accordingly.

Meet Mysterio and Moustaccio, a bonded pair of long-haired black and white 5-year-old brothers looking for a home worthy of their magic.

Mysterio is all charm. Cuddly, affectionate, professional nap enthusiast. The kind of cat who acts like your couch was made specifically for him.

Moustaccio is a little more reserved, with a moustache so striking it deserves its own introduction. He needs patience and a soft place to land, but once you earn his trust, his cuddly side appears.

Gotcha Tues-yay Alumni Update 💚🏡

“We adopted Mr. Finnley over one year ago. Just want to let you know he is doing amazing! He is the biggest cuddler, and his purring is as loud as a tractor. Him and his brother Charlie just love eachother. Charlie was cleaning his head the other day, and Finnley rather enjoyed that. This was a first! Thank you again for saving this big boy.
