“Here are photos of Cassie, formerly Tumbleweed, who we adopted in December 2002. Born June 2002 with three brothers. One photo was taken just after we adopted her, the other is on her 22nd birthday last June.

Cassie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on October 28, 2024, but as you can see, she had a wonderful, long life! She was bossy, strong, hilarious, and very much loved. We miss her very much.” - Carol and John Vermeer

Gotcha Tues-yay Alumni Update 💚🏡

“Drake—formerly known as Guy Smiley because he loved flashing his teeth at everyone he met—was simply showing us how happy he truly was.

We adopted Drake on October 3, 2021, when he was just over a year old and full of energy. Four years later, he’s still as energetic as ever, with a wonderfully silly personality.

He loves chasing a laser light like a cat, basking in the sunshine, and howling along whenever his favorite song, “Pennies from Heaven,” comes on. Most importantly, Drake adores cuddling and sleeping beside his favorite human—my daughter.

Drake has been the best addition to our family. We continue to return to Darcy’s ARC in hopes of finding the perfect companion for him—and hopefully, that day will come soon.” -

We need a laundry machine ‼️🆘

Our laundry machines work nonstop. This includes washing towels, bedding, and blankets that keep our cats and dogs clean and comfortable.

Sadly, 1/2 of them has spun its last load. Kirk’s been keeping watch (as you can see), but we’re down a crucial piece of our daily routine.

If you’d like to help us replace it and keep the clean comfort going, donations toward a new washer mean the world. If you have an extra laundry machine in good working condition, we’d take that as well!

Last weekend our halls were EMPTY… and now our team, including Raj and Anika in these photos, are standing in front of 20+ boxes of litter and 52+ cases of Friskies.
