Crescentwood Small Dog Play Group A small dog playgroup for dogs under 30lbs who would like to play with others the same size. Become a groupie and join the play!

We have been running our small dog playgroup for over 5 years and during that time we have had the opportunity to play with over 350 dogs! The Crescentwood Small Dog Playgroup runs within the boundaries of Pembina Hwy west to Kenaston Blvd. We have been fortunate to work closely with community centers in our area who have supported indoor and outdoor play environments for our small dogs. We welcome all small dog owners from across the city you don't have to live in our area to participate!

Luna is 2.5 yrs old and a poodle/bichon mix.

Long lines: 15 or 30-foot nylon training leashes
P**p bags

Training pads
Cleaning supplies: bucket & mops, paper towels, and disposable gloves

AFB has been called into action by the government of Manitoba to support the pets of the MB Wildfires.

The Animal Food Bank (AFB) wishes to acknowledgeā€”and apologize forā€”the full suspension of our regular pet-food-bank operations in Winnipeg over the past year. The pause was unavoidable while our founder focuses on recovering from a brain injury.

Today, a lean but passionate volunteer team, supported by the Amp It UP Foundation (our charity), has stepped up to deliver emergency pet-support services for families displaced by Manitobaā€™s 2025 wildfires. Although our day-to-day Winnipeg program remains on hold, our commitment to keeping people and pets together in times of crisis has never wavered.

We are deeply grateful for the communityā€™s patience and continued encouragement. Your donations and offers of help make this wildfire responseā€”and our eventual full reopeningā€”possible. Thank you for standing with us.

Our story

It is the third season of the Small Dog Play Group!

Inspired by my little Chewie - the group continues to entertain, inspire and build confidence in our little neighbourhood dogs. Join us weekly for the opportunity to meet other small dog owners, watch your dog explore, play and observe other dogs their size. It is amazing to see them after a few groups their confidence and the excitement when they come.

With the success of the last two year, I continue to secure special insurance and a pay for the space so I am hoping that I can recoup those costs, in collecting $5 per dog. Please feel free to bring toys - but not their favourites as other dogs may take them. * Dog owners need to stay with their dogs * Dog owners are responsible for clean-up of accidents. (materials will be on hand) * TIP: Try and let your dog relieve themselves outside before coming in * Please carry your dog into the building - less opportunity for contact with kids * Any accidents in the common areas needs to be cleaned up ASAP So looking forward to Sundays!
