Last weekend we did 2 classes in 2 very different locations!

Our first class was in Nanaimo and although we sadly did not get any photos of it, we had all 12 members complete the course successfully! It was a huge pleasure to have to have each and everyone one of you come through the door ✨☺️

Our second class was on Mayne Island and we had never been there before! It is always special to be able to come to these more remote communities with limited access to certain services. Although they do have a vet on Mayne, it is not 5 days a week and there is no after hour care. To be able to share this information to the people who really want it brings a fuzzy feeling to the heart that is hard to put into words.

Thank you to all the 25 people who came out this weekend, braved commutes, ferries and long days to be able to certified in these life-saving skills. You all mean so much to us and the pets in your care 🥰🐾

Girls trip to Mayne Island for pet first aid! 🐾✨️ See everyone tomorrow 😁

Hello everyone! We are SO excited to share this collaboration with you all! 🐾🌿

We've teamed up with an incredible local maker - Dana Mahon The Furry PAWD Mother from Dana Mahon Wellness, who creates thoughtfully curated wellness boxes featuring beautiful, handmade products sourced from around Vancouver Island. This collaboration brings together two sides of wellness that belong together: the everyday comfort and care that help both you and your pet feel relaxed, and the practical, life-saving skills and supplies that matter when your pet needs help most.

Together, the Pet First Aid course and Ma And Paw Wellness Box create a truly well-rounded wellness experience. You'll learn how to confidently support your pet during an emergency, while also receiving locally made products designed to bring comfort, relaxation and care into your everyday routine - including those important moments of rest and recovery after an incident. It's preparedness, aftercare and a little well-deserved calm for both pet and person, all wrapped into one meaningful package. 💛

For this month's Nanaimo class and our Mayne Island class, we're offering a special Pet First Aid ticket and Wellness Box bundle from now until September 24. When you purchase the combo, you'll receive a combined savings of $40! Purchase by September 22 and we'll also include an extra free gift, because celebrating a new local collaboration calls for something a little special. 🎁

Already purchased your class ticket at full price? We haven't forgotten about you. You can still purchase the wellness box and receive a $20 certificate toward renewing your Pet First Aid certification when it expires, giving you the same overall value in savings.

And this is only the beginning! We're already dreaming up a special Christmas Wellness Box for our December classes, filled with new, custom and handmade items with a festive twist. Think cozy, thoughtful and locally made - a little seasonal magic for pets and the people who love them. 🎄🐶

We're genuinely thrilled to bring this collaboration to our community. Supporting local makers, caring for our pets and looking after ourselves are all connected - and this box is such a joyful way to bring those pieces together. Local hands, practical skills and whole-family wellness - paws included. ✨

We have seats left for our Pender Island Class! 🐾

The Pet Trifecta is all about making pet first aid practical and something people can actually feel comfortable doing. I’ve been teaching hands-on classes throughout BC for over four years now, and I really enjoy bringing them into smaller communities and getting to know the people and pets that make each place special.

This is a hands-on class where we go through CPR, choking, wounds, bandaging, bleeding, poisoning, bloat, heat and cold emergencies, fractures, vitals, safe transportation and more. You’ll have the chance to practice many of the skills rather than just sitting and listening all day.

You’ll receive a 2-year Pet First Aid Certification through ProPetHero, your Pet First Aid E-Manual and Mini Manual, wall and wallet certificates, and tons of free extra resources.

The biggest reason I think these classes are useful is simple: accidents happen. Having a vet available is important, but there can still be a period of time between something happening and getting professional care. Knowing what to look for, what you can safely do, and when you need to get your pet to the vet can make a stressful situation a little less overwhelming.

If you’ve been thinking about the betterment of your pet then this is for you.

We wanted to take a second to recognize the small but amazing group we had last weekend in Comox! What was once a sold out class ended up being a small group of 6, and that's okay!

We spent the day getting hands-on learning tons about techniques, applications, healthy routines, and everything else in between! You know the group is invested in learning when we could have gotten out an hour early, but ended up getting out at the regular ending time! We filled that time with extra questions, practice and networking. I couldn't be more proud of everyone! 🤍

We also had an extra member, Mr.Diesel! The biggest, sweetest mastiff boy you ever will meet 🥰🐾 Thank you so much to mom and dad for bring him along!

Next stop Nanaimo on the 25th ✨
